Chewing in Venice (by Simone Decker)
Simone Decker works with Light (amongst other things)
Simone Decker uses space to construct her large scale works that usually are interactive in nature. For instance this piece from 2004 titled "Lenka, Denise, Charlotte..." is described on Decker's website: "The works title changes according to the regional patronymic calender wherever is it exhibited."
The works that caught my eye are titled "NY-space" from 2004. Decker uses light and space to create a unique space for those interacting with the piece.
This next piece is a video loop (these are images from the video) that adds concepts of space and time to create a sense urgency in the viewer. "Air Bag" 1998.
