Technically they only have to give you an 8 hour gap. The store I work at closes at 10 and opens at 7 and sometimes we can get stuck with that shitty back to back shift. It's rare though.

Yeah it sucks but I’m especially baffled because I know my work has more than enough people for that not to happen
