I just watched the new episode of fionna and cake and im not normal about fionna and simons relationship. How he calls her out of the blue and it seems to be something he does alot. How fionna basically gives him her undivided attention. How he calls her when hes uneasy ot on edge heading to choose gooses grave. Shes his support person and she adores him.

I cant help thinking of him calling her late at night and the two having long talks about everything and nothing. Sometimes simon walks outside to Marci's deck when shes jamming out and he just talks to fionna and even if he wakes her she still picks up and does her best to carry a conversation even if she falls asleep sometimes. Sometimes just knowing shes there is enough for him. And maybe vis versa.

Maybe Fionna text him when shes upset or uneased she always starts the conversation off as a joke and lead it into a distraction but simon will continue to ask her questions too and she breaks easily. Admiting to him whats wrong. He doesnt call her rather he continues to text her even if its not his favorite way of communicating. Its what shes comfortable with in these moments and he wont push her boundries.

Fionna and Cake ships that sail.

Im glad to see Finn in another universe with Slime princess, it proves that Not all Finns in every universe is alike, like Fionna, she could be paired with Simon someday, I saw the hints from season 1 to 2 even tho season 2 was unfortunately very little. I don't know if her phone got fixed? Or if Cakes phone has Simon's contact? Is she able to keep communication? Or just forget the Simon/Winter king trauma? She did right for her other friends we see in ep 10, but not Simon an Fionna?.
