For day three of Simon week: Mama

Pencil on paper
Happy Simon’s week! ☺️ Here’s my little contribution to day 1, based on Omar’s song Dum. I hope you like it 💜
Thank you @youngroyals-events for organising this.

Simon stomps his way to the end of the drive, pushing past the vacuous rich kids in various stages of intoxication. Tears are flowing freely down his cheeks, now, and he scrubs them away with the back of his hand. Stupid. Stupid stupid stupid. Why did he think tonight would be any different?
“Hey!” A voice calls out behind him. He hears the crunch of rapid footsteps on the gravel, and for a moment he lets himself believe that he hasn’t been imagining things. That David really does care, that he hasn’t just seen him with his hand up some girl’s skirt.
“Oh,” Simon’s face falls as he turns around, “you’re one of August’s friends.”
“Wille,” the owner of the voice holds his hand out in greeting, “and I’m his cousin, actually.”
Simon doesn’t take it, “That’s worse.”
Wille laughs, brings the hand that isn’t holding the can of - Simon looks closer - gin and slimline tonic to his mouth to stifle it. Simon’s lip quirks.
“Yeah, I guess it is,” Wille shrugs, “I don’t see him much, though.”
“Must be nice.”
Wille smiles again, “What brings you to his party, then? Since you clearly hate his guts?” He takes a last swig from the can and throws it back towards the house.
Simon looks away. He stuffs his hands in his coat pockets.
“Oh,” Wille nods, realising, “him.”
Simon sighs heavily. Has he really been that obvious? Is his unrequited crush so blatant that literally everyone has noticed?
“Look,” Wille steps closer, “I know it’s really not my place to say anything, but David’s not really… You can do better.”
“Alright,” Simon’s ready to leave now. He doesn’t know why he’s standing here talking to a stranger about any of this in the first place. He’s probably going to go right back to August with every little detail.
“I just mean, you seem nicer than all of them. Decent.”
“I am.”
“You’re beautiful, too.” He says that part quietly, his eyes shyly meeting Simon’s through the curtain of his fringe.
Simon frowns.
“Sorry,” Wille looks down at his hands, “I’ve, erm, I’ve been watching you all night.”
“That’s normal.”
“Ha! Well I mean, not in a creepy way, um. I just… I think you’re really”
“It’s fine, Wille,” Simon interrupts him. God, this is so awkward.
“Why are you wasting your time on someone who doesn’t appreciate you?” Wille presses, “Who doesn’t see you, you know? I don’t get it.”
“We can’t help who we like,” Simon mumbles.
“No. I guess not.”
They stand in silence. The heavy bass of the music inside makes the air throb.
“He makes me stupid,” Simon admits, and fuck, does it feel like a relief to finally admit it.
“I get that,” Wille smiles at him again, “maybe… You’d like to be stupid with me instead, sometime.”
Simon wants to laugh, but he seems so earnest. He’s pretty cute, too, now Simon is looking at him properly. Rocking back and forwards on the balls of his feet, his face a mix of crooked, toothy grin and barely contained eagerness. “What would that entail?” He asks, feeling himself flush a little. He doesn’t usually flirt with people. Is this flirting?
Wille leans in and kisses him softly on the lips, the barest hint of pressure before he’s pulling away again, studying Simon’s face. When Simon doesn’t respond, he kisses him again. Simon blinks.
Wille groans, obviously embarrassed. Something finally clicks in Simon’s brain and he grabs Wille’s shirt as he tries to walk away, pulling him in, pulling him closer. Wait. They share a few breaths, a few nervous heartbeats, before Simon kisses him back.
“Do you still want to leave?” Wille asks, several kisses, several nose nudges later. Their faces are so close he barely has to whisper. He reaches up to brush away a few tears still clinging to Simon’s cheeks.
Simon shakes his head.
Simon's Week Day 7: Free day
For the event being hosted by @youngroyals-events
I chose the song Gold Rush by Taylor Swift for this one because of @aslongasitsblack reblog of this post by @sixbynine-da. I saw this and really wanted to write about it.
Simon flops back onto his bed and stares at the ceiling.
Well, fuck.
He takes a moment to think about it once more, but no, he's pretty confident about it, unfortunately.
He has a crush on the Prince. A big, fat, embarrassing crush on the Prince of Sweden.
He's not really the Prince, though. Not to Simon. He's just Wille, cute, dorky, and awkward Wille, who was brave enough to talk to the non-res. Against everyone's advice.
Simon hasn't told anyone yet. He's just come to terms with it himself. He wonders what Rosh and Ayub would say. What Sara would think.
Does this make him a class traitor? Disloyal to his morals? He literally insulted Wille's family to his face, and now he's thinking about holding his hand and playing with his hair.
Then there is also the fact that he's most definitely not alone in his feelings. Everyone is after Wille. It's a hopeless endeavor.
Yet he still feels.
Fuck.
He hates his heart. Why is it doing this to him? Because Simon's head understands that this is the most futile endeavor ever. His heart can't seem to get that.
Wille, the Prince, can't possibly want him. Monarchies run on being straight, first of all. Then, he's at Hillerska on a scholarship. He's not poor, but he sure as hell ain't rich. There is no way he's even on Wille's radar outside of a classmate and friend---maybe.
Simon turns over and groans into the mattress.
It's whatever. He's fine. He'll get through this. Everyone has that one unrequited crush. It's totally normal. He can be normal.
Then Wille basically holds his hand, and he decides to fuck it, because he has absolutley zero sense of self-preservation.
Then Wille is kissing him back.
Simon's Week 2025
Announcing Simon's Week 2025, 26 July to 1 August!
For Simon's birthday this year we're celebrating with music themed prompts - specifically, Omar Rudberg songs!
To participate, create (or finish) something new inspired by one of the below prompts and post on the appropriate day. Can be any kind of fanwork - fics, art, GIFs, edits or anything else you want! - and any theme/relationship(s)/characters as long as Simon is the main focus.
As always, you can be inspired by the prompt however you want; whether it's the whole song, the title, a single lyric, the video or artwork, or even just the vibe. If none of these songs inspire you, the final day of the week is a free day where you can post something inspired by any music you choose (not just Omar's!).
Day 1, 26 July: Dum
Day 2, 27 July: La Mesa
Day 3, 28 July: Mama
Day 4, 29 July: Om du inte fanns
Day 5, 30 July: Luz Roja
Day 6, 31 July: Talk
Day 7, 1 August: Free day

Indicate which prompt/day it's for.
Use the tag #nsfw for explicit content, and any other content warnings as necessary.
We'll provide an AO3 collection link.
Please post on the appropriate day, or after it if necessary. We'll continue to reblog late submissions, we just ask you to please not post in advance.
Have fun!
Why Do You Look So Happy?
a S2 AU loosely inspired by Sabrina Carpenter's 'opposite' for the free day of Simon Week, hosted by @youngroyals-events! hope you enjoy! <3
“Hey,” Wille said, and at least he had the decency to look a little uncomfortable as he closed the door behind him. How dare he come in here after how he’d just behaved? After how happy he'd looked celebrating hooking up with someone else? Simon didn’t know what to say. He walked to the window and tried to ignore the burning feeling of Wille’s eyes on him, the way he felt blood rushing up to his cheeks. Maybe if Simon just pretended he wasn’t there, Wille would leave. Maybe if he did that enough times Wille would stop coming in at all. (Was that really what Simon wanted?)
or: a S2E4 au in which Wille follows Simon out of the Forest Ridge dining room
read it here! (5.2K, T-rated)
Day six of Simon's week 2025 I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make something for today, it is a good song, with many possibilities, many too close to what I already had written it felt like. Anyways, I hope it will make sense, with how it ended up being written. What I ended up with is probably very much inspired by the recent posts about how people would be flirting with Simon and how strange it is that no one else at Hillerska had fallen for him. By @myhusbandscoffee amongst some.

Talk
That guy. Yes. That guy with the bronze skin and black curls. That was the one that he wanted. His wavy walk between the market stands reached inside and folded itself like a black cat in the sun. Finally he reached his stand. “Could I maybe offer you some honey drops? They are sweet and tasty.” Smooth. Not. The guy paused and gave him the sweetest smile, “Sure, I’ll try one. Thank you.”

It's my first watercolor painting ever (and my model was a crappy gif), so I made a lot mistakes, but I still love my Angel Simon 😇
