I have to vent. I hate Ghoap
So. I hate Ghoap shippers more specifically. Before there are the claims of being homophobic, I'm a bisexual woman. I've had girlfriends, I've had boyfriends. I am currently married, and still very much bisexual. That being said, I hate Ghoap.
Why do I hate Ghoap? More specifically, I detest the toxic Ghoap shippers. I am of the belief, ship what you want, so long as it does not hurt someone. However, there has been a recent rise in Ghoap shippers who become vitriolic the moment you say "I don't ship Ghost and Soap." It's like Steddie from the Stranger Things verse all over again. Ghoap is not canon. Simon from 09 is different from the current iteration of Simon. However, most of us assume that he likely shares the same backstory as his 09 original counterpart. That being said, it's still speculation and headcanon. Just as it is headcanon that he's blonde. Just as it is headcanon that someone ships him with Soap.
Steddie turned me off so fast to Stranger Things, besides that, most of the cast are horrible zionists. But they are same vein as Ghoap shippers. Steddie became profoundly toxic and would harass other people who enjoyed the fandom, but not the ship, as well as the actors! While the cast of CoD MW (Except Konig's VA. He's a terrible person.) All encourage their fanbase to enjoy the games how they want. I want to remind everyone that their job is to make sure people are happy, to purchase, and partake in a game that's literal war propaganda. No one wants war, but we all love the characters that are in the story itself.
No one is invalidating anyone's sexuality by saying they do not ship Soap and Simon. No one is saying you can't ship them. To the Ghoap shippers that are rational and their reaction to any other ship is, "Oh hey that's cool! I am happy you also enjoy this fandom, and find happiness in it like I do." I ADORE THE FUCK OUT OF YOU!
To the toxic Ghoap shippers that feel the need to harass, bully, and attempt to doxx others for not shipping Ghoap? Touch grass, and get therapy.
So TLDR: Don't be toxic.
