Lupof is Lyonef's friend and Potential Girlfriend (although they aren't there yet). Lupof was also a Sybillae, she used to be incredibly rowdy and wild, causing her and Lyonef's chord to dismantle (in return making Lyonef go to the spring earlier than he wanted and get assigned Woman.) Her domestic life with A Husband felt very unfulfilling to her, and she wanted to go back into the skies.... So she became an outlaw. Stole a similie. And is on the run from the government. She changed her name as a statement of sorts, since she sees herself as masculine but also a woman.
Lyonef was in love with her then, and once they cross paths, he's in love all over again. She ends up joining him with the other Sybillae when they went rogue after the war. They're like. Both very competent but together? Absolute dumbasses. I love them.
Zangof is a general in Simulacrum's army and a part of Victoire's life post war. As the top Sybillae of her chor, she has amazing strategical abilities and skills that would go to waste if she followed the "typical woman" road her parents put her on. Zangof knew her since she was a kid (family friend!) And saw her achievements, so he was able to pull some strings and get her a post as his "assistant" general. He deeply respects her input and she proved herself to be a better strategist than most others in the government. Victoire is very happy, because to her it's a step towards making her country better for people like her.
However ☝️ Zangof is also incredibly manipulative. He is definitely influencing Victoire to think a certain way and putting her patriotism above all else. He also convinces her to take arms once the war starts again, and go against the Rogue Sybillae (her friends.) Because they are a wild card and therefore a liability. She doesn't like this but at this point, she'd do anything for the good of her country.
