The voting really made this go back-n-forth. Obviously Gwen beat out Lola in voting, but Lola won against Corey, who was less hated than Cason. Gameplay notes: Lola didn’t have any interactions with Cason and since he’s a big hot head that didn’t get mad at her, no attack. He argued with Gwen though, so that’s the banter between them.
Cason doesn’t think about the long game. He’s short-sighted.
He knows that Corey is an “untouchable” within the organization...so get Gwen without Corey there. He targeted April because she’s Corey’s personal assistant. She knows his schedule, where he will be any point of a given day, and also where his lives. However, Cason didn’t account for Corey doing whatever he wants because he can. If Cason’s going down, he’s going down hard. But the police complicated the situation and Cason values his own life so he’s not going to suicide-by-cop.
