3dcember day 1- Cozy
3Dcember 2020
Day 1: Cozy
It’s that blue sweater I keep including in my Christmas or New Years draws! It’s a real hand-knit sweater I have - that is as cozy as it is gigantic.
I wanted the background and lighting to feel like weather you’d want to wear that sweater in. I attempted to re-create in low-poly the little fuzzy thingies I add to the sweater in my drawings. I think the whole thing is better with them, but I really need to figure out how to use them properly.
Made with Maya, Substance Painter, Marmoset Toolbag, Photoshop.
(Told ya I was gonna be late.)
It’s December you guys! Or should I say 3dcember? And you know what that means! The twelve days of cgmas are upon us!! In a similar spirit to #inktober for the month of December you are encouraged to do a series of cg based art (something done in #maya, #blender, etc.) . Unlike inktober I am not expecting you to post everyday. Cg can be a bit more complicated and time consuming so I am setting the target at 12 assignments. They do not need to be completed consecutively. Feel free to space them out! This year I decided to put together some prompts to make things easier but feel free to come up with your own prompts too. When you post your assignment please use the hashtags #3dcember or #12daysofcgmas so we can all find your great work! Can’t wait to see what you guys come up with!!
3dcember day 3 - Threat
Day 2- Ancient
Tarot deck so far and an Update on 3dcember- so unfortunately I got sick right before I went on my holiday break and won’t have access to maya for the remainder of the year. So I will have to call it for myself with 6 designs this year. I really like the way these were turning out and I think I definitely want to continue working on them. But it will have to be in the new year. Please continue to submit your own work! I have very much enjoyed seeing all you have done so far!
