#sims 3 issues

i love sims 3 but anyone just feel like they are getting annoyed when their game starts to have issue soon as they open the game lol like stuttering choppy lag freezing then having to force close. i've done all of the optimisation and everything it will run smooth just doesnt like it when i wanna actually play 😭

i was trying to bulldoze a community lot and literally my game was stuck processing for nearly a hour... i just loaded the world for first time like explainnnnnnnnnnnnnnn 😭😭

Can anyone help? TS3 graphics issues

So at this point I’m pretty sure that it’s just my graphics card that’s not powerful enough, but I’ve turned all my settings up to the max and my pets still look like this: 

(As in they look like they’re made of clay and there’s no fur detail at all)

If anyone knows a fix to this please DM me or reply to this post - I’m desperate for an answer!

I don’t know what else to do here, it just makes me sad that I can’t have the pretty coats on my pets and they look really weird

Like, I know I’m not the only one who can see a huge difference there - that dog actually has fluff and texture details whereas mine are just blobs:

Alternatively, does anyone know of a mod that changes the fur type for animals and makes it more detailed? I feel like that might work if nothing else does

Please let me know if you know a fix for this, because it makes me not want to get pets with fluffy coats because they just look ridiculous and blocky

(Also I am playing on a mac laptop so that might have something to do with it idk)

My sim can learn and level up skills again, but can now not do any social interactions nor can I click on the household sim and select an action.

Edit: I saved & quit, then restart. Socials were back, but skill stopped leveling up again. So apparently I have to choose between the two. Think I’ll play something else for awhile.

My Sim’s skills on Sims 3 won’t level up. I’ve tried the books and classes, the skill bar does not move. Anyone know how to fix this?

Edit: Deleted cache files and at least one skill is now being learned again, have not checked others yet.

The fact that when origin decides it needs yet another update and the game you are in the middle of loading just stops, not freezes or crashes, stops. It won’t close or do anything so you have to restart your computer to make it close and then find out it was because origin wanted to update.

Build HELP

I’ve been having this annoying issue lately and I don’t know what to try (short of start taking out cc?):

Whenever I try placing ceiling lamps they get stuck to the floor and sometimes I can’t even place them above tables because ‘there’s an item there’. I thought reloading the game, the save, the lot would help but the issue keeps happening. Obviously I don’t want to lose the lot. It seems to be this save/world but I haven’t checked in the other saves lately (this is the first time I see this issue).

Anyone know how to fix this?

sims 3 is giving me issues. it keeps freezing up, or just crashing, like coooommmmeeee oooon all i want to do is dress them up and take pics of them...thats it. at this point i feel like giving up on it...i have one more trick...and i pray to god that it works.

Ageing Up is my nightmare!

Arrrgh! So it’s happened again... My husband was meant to be ageing up to an elder and the weird glitch happened again. He stood up from the computer and Have Birthday disappeared. I tried to edit him in CAS and it said I couldn’t because he was wearing his career outfit. I tried to get him to change but there were literally no options in his change outfit box. So, here we go again. I’m going to have to go back into the house and put all pictures into an inventory and then save and quit, then go back with CC off and age him up. Urgh this is getting boring.
