Crazy how with every new collection of mm CC from an established creator (whether it’s related to the newest update or not) there’s really only like one or two pieces that AREN’T ugly, boring, a stiff pair of flare jeans with no detail, a halter top or something that ties in the front, a “corset” or “bustier”, something with a random ribbon, a blatant rip off of an item from one of their earlier collections or basegame or from some other creator that also either ripped off themselves, basegame or someone else, something with a butterfly, something that makes your sim look lumpy or some overdone y2k/cottagecore/Coachella shit that ran it’s course 5 years ago. the hairstyles are really no different either. everywhere you look it’s the same song and dance. Every pack has at least one of the same bulky hairstyles for white sims with minimal definition, and a hard start between the forehead and hair (no edges of any kind), and the choices are between long and wavy, medium and wavy, wavy bob, half up-half down, wavy half up-half down or one of the above but with two loose pieces of hair at the front/curtain bangs/plain bangs. Maybe there’s Dutch braids or some stupid fucking ponytail. Maybe there’s some fucking accessory like a butterfly barrette or headband if you’re lucky, and again, all of them are for white/non-black sims. the shoes look like polymer clay or they shrink your sims feet or the strappy sandals with butterflies or flowers on them make your sims toes look like little hot dogs

Happy New Year, everyone! 🎉

This was obviously a good simming year for me, as I was able to run the game properly again and completed an update of Strangetown Here We Come. Thank you again to everyone who read it and for all of your support. It means a lot to me.

I'm reluctant to set any specific goals for myself, but I hope to keep moving forward. I shot some images for it today, in fact. Life can be busy and tough at times, but I hope to keep picking away at it. I hope to enjoy the process. I hope to focus on the good, what I love, and what I want to share.

I hope we all see good things in the new year.

okay so I made Lincoln and Donovan from Mafia 3 in Sims 4 so I can play out my little cringe au where there together and Donovan is trans so they can procreate. Okay exposition out of the way.

My first attempt I tried to make the characters somewhat accurate to Mafia 3, making Lincoln be a criminal and Donovan a "secret agent" but that wasnt working out. Lincoln was barely bringing home money and Donovan hated his job AND also I started their game with an infant, the fankid oc I made, Danielle (or Dani) and playing as new parents in a small 1 bedroom home was really rough on me.

I also tried to make it age accurate, making Lincoln (23yo) be a young adult and Donovan be just a regular adult (30-something).

I scrapped that game and tried again, just letting it be the 2 and feeling like if I make enough money this time around, then I'll let them have kids.

So my second game is still...rusty, cause this is the first time I've played the Sims in my whole life.

This time around I decided to not have it be super accurate to how they are in the game they originate from. I started them both off being young adults, made Lincoln be more into fitness (body builder cause he's so big lol) and wants a big happy family, and I made Donovan be more of computer geek and a loner so he literally just spends all day at home on the computer either playing games or programming shit.

So, the athletic path raked in a lot more money and once I leveled up Donovan's programming skills, he gets better paying freelance gigs.

I also realized I can't have this really be accurate to my cringe au either cause they have their kids in this order: Dani (oldest), Rhys (middle), and Jermaine (youngest).

When they had the first kid, it was a boy so I was like "fuck it I guess in this world Rhys is the oldest" and then when I 2nd kid was born, they were another boy and I was annoyed cause I wanted a girl so she could be Dani.

Once again, I'm super new at the Sims, I thought you could edit the kids before they were born (and before that I thought you could like pre-make the kids until you have your sims try for babies) so after the second boy was born then aged up from newborn to infant I actually deleted him just to make a new infant that's supposed to be Dani 😭

I found out when you do that, that infant doesn't count as their actual child because I realized that when "adopt as care dependent" popped up when I clicked on her as either Lincoln or Donovan, and now since her and Rhys are teenagers, since I want them to get along, I was lowkey horrified when I saw romance options for them (I just want them to be tight siblings, this is what I get for doing this 😭😭)

Now the 3rd baby is here and NOW they have a bio daughter and I realized if I just waited I could have the 3 kids but with shuffled ages. So I just genderbent Jermaine's name to be "Jasmine" this time around.

Also Lincolns a "personal trainer to the stars" and he became an Elder first so it's SO weird seeing Donovan lovin on a old man when he's still a regular adult...lol old man fucker.

Also after the 3rd baby came home, Lincoln and Donovan immediately went to "Woohoo" and I was like "YOU JUST PUSHED THAT BABY OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU????REST, BITCH, DAMN!!!"
