With nearly a full decade completed in the game, I ended up having a bit of fun imagining the Thompsons as their own version of The House on the Prairie (“Os Pioneiros”, in Brazilian Portuguese).

It’s Anglican Sunday, the first Sunday of autumn, when everyone in Orville gathers at the town church for the service.

Most people were focused on the sermon. Edward II was not. Someone had caught his eye. Not the entire congregation, just him.

It was Anne Brauer, whom we met in earlier chapters. She’s his age, and when she smiled at him, that was it. He couldn’t pay attention to the service anymore.

Hi everyone :)

Meet the Brauers, a secondary family now joining life in Orville. Originally from Germany, they chose to move to England amid growing rumors of war, seeing the neighboring country as more stable and better suited to a comfortable rural life.

The family consists of Friedrich, Berta, and Anne. Anne is the only daughter who survived Berta’s previous pregnancies, an experience that helped shape Berta into the hardened, irritable, and somewhat bitter woman she is today.

Anne, however, hopes to carry on her family’s lineage. Now that the Brauers are neighbors to the Thompsons, she has already taken an interest in the family’s eldest son, heheh.
