Temporary Turbulence: The Founder Stallion of Valentino Racehorses
The birth of Temporary Turbulence, or “Timy,” was nothing short of extraordinary. As the last foal of our mare Polly, his arrival was marked by a powerful storm that caused widespread disruption. Flights were canceled, trees fell, and roads were blocked, making it difficult to get the vet to Polly. Despite the chaos, Polly pushed through contractions, uneasy in the storm’s grip.
Our experienced team member, Benjamin, lightened the mood, saying, “Seems like the storm isn’t the only turbulence we’re experiencing.” Polly, sensing something different about this birth, kept moving restlessly. Finally, Benjamin allowed her to choose a safer spot, and Polly walked straight to a stall surrounded by trophies of past successes — a sign that she believed her foal was destined for greatness.
Minutes later, Timy, a bay colt with one white sock and a snip, was born, neighing confidently as Polly began to care for him. At that moment, we didn’t know that this foal would become the foundation of our most successful horses.
Timy has earned $103,530 from racing and steeplechase. He was later retrained to jumping and dressage to keep him mobile, sometimes he carries around Wen because Timy refuses to retire…
From a turbulent start to a legendary future, Timy’s journey is one of resilience and legacy at Valentino Racehorses. (lets ignore the fact we had colored pictures in 2000s lol)
