I am also very happy to announce that the little spotty colt wont grow up playing alone.

Last year, Sandra had decided she would love to see a foal out of Shimmer. Combine that with the once in a lifetime chance to get her covered by the one and only "The Mandalorian NK" owned by Nova Kneib and Sandra was sold!

And about 3 weeks before the little Appaloosa colt was born, this litte chestnut filly has dropped into the world after an uneventful and healthy pregnancy. From the beginning shes shown adorably strong grey goggles, so we are pretty sure shes gonna grey out, but her start into life was a bit difficult.

Her legs are incredibly long and she wasnt able to stand on straight legs at all in the front. So Shimmer and her filly were spending two weeks at the clinic, with casts to stretch the fillies ligaments and strenghten the correct position. Those casts came off two days ago and shes now successfully standing and walking well, so she was allowed to return to us today!

Her name, fitting for Mandos lineage is Carasynthia, lovingly called Cara as well, and so far shes a true chestnut, very stubborn and loud about her own opinion, but she ADORES cuddles. You cna always win her over with those.

Winter is coming....

As the temperature gets colder and the days get shorter, the landscape slowly turns white. A quiet transformation unfolds as the first snow blankets the fields, softening every sound and contour. Frost clings to bare branches, and the air feels crisp and still.

The horses are seen playing in the snow outside on the open fields, their breath rising in small clouds as they move. They gallop freely, kicking up powdery snow, then suddenly stop to roll around, laughing in their own way and covering themselves completely in white.

In these moments, the cold seems forgotten, replaced by a sense of joy and freedom, as nature and animals embrace the arrival of winter.

Eyecatching action

Breezing with Orchard’s Flashbourne (green bridle) and Orchard’s Miso Fancy (black bridle) as long as the natural daylight and weather condition allow it. You never know, sometimes a few clouds mean nothing and you stay dry - sometimes you see no clouds and get wet. The perfect weather to get sick, slip or stress. At least the soaking wet track turns into an aquatrainer for free, offering new scenarios and just in case monsters who eat the horses. It’s the ideal situation to keep our riders on their toes.

Today it was Flashbourne and Fancy’s time to breeze which is running at their full sprint speed for a short amount of length. Most of the time we conserve their full potential for the official races but it is still very important to know what their possible maximum of power is. On the day of the race a lot of factors involve their performance of running and you can never be prepared enough but we still try our best!

Sims 3 Package Sorter

the stupid long story before the recipe that no one cares about:

sooooo the last time i posted was 2 years ago ALMOST TO THE DAY (i should have posted this yesterday 😭) about how it was going to take one million years to sort through hundreds… THOUSANDS of sims 3 .package files because i was apparently an idiot who had not learned my lesson regarding cc organization from sims 2 or 4.

and i was right! it did take one million years! or i guess 731 days. because it was SO annoying opening every file in s3pe to see how to categorize it and what subfolder to put it in. and i didn't want to just bring everything into cc magic and sort it that way, because i needed to sort my backup folders. so i gave up.

until this weekend where i smashed my keyboard (a lot), cried to my partner (a lot) who thank god knows C#, and now i have a lil' app i am calling Sims 3 Package Sorter, or S3PS!

you can run the executable from anywhere with the option to load in individual .package files, whole folders, and folders that include subfolders. there is even drag and drop functionality! once everything is loaded in it displays how each file is categorized in-game, and then you can click the Type column to sort by type, shift+click groups of similar items and move them wherever you want! if you have s3pe installed, you can link to its executable and then you can also right click to open any of the packages in s3pe.

it does not parse defaults (it just simply won't import them) or anything without a proper type id, and skips over anything else i didn't feel like including. i honestly made this for me, and it works exactly how i'd like it to and categorizes files the same way my folders are structured, so it is very unlikely to be updated unless there is something major that i overlooked.

but all that to say, i was able to move those 2,000+ unorganized files into my nice and neat folders in probably 10 minutes, and now i can FINALLY enjoy North Bend :''''-)

i have basically no following so i'm not sure who this will reach, but if you download way too much cc and feel overwhelmed by trying to put it where it needs to go, hopefully this can help! unless something like this has existed all along and my work was for naught!!

This was a request by JettSchae, that I thought I’d go ahead and share with everyone else. It is an updated standalone default lighting mod of St. Claires weather. The most recent patch has changed the way weather is rotated, so there is no longer any custom weather. I personally love St. Claire’s custom weather, so I blended that with her clear weather so as to not miss out on either entirely. To view the original lighting in it’s entirety, go here.

It also includes longer days (with a 5am sunrise and 9pm sunset), lowered full moon bloom (for complete removal of bloom please see this guide), dynamic lighting by dDefender at MTS, and a sun halo by Buhudain.

I recommend using a star field replacement, either mine, Buhudain’s, or Shojoangel’s.

I also recommend the Oh My Moon texture replacement by Pavic at MTS.

To Install: You simply put the package file in your mods folder with the rest of your package files.

Also you do not need any of the expansion packs or worlds for this to work, and you only need one of the following flavors.

Hey! Thank you for reaching out, I am aware this is sadly still happening. While it's not against any sort of "rules", it does show a severe lack of respect for fellow creators and it really is a shame. For me it's not about what's allowed and what isn't, it's about respecting a creator's content and their wishes, something that is very hard to understand for some, apparently.

It's very ironic when they tell others to respect another creator's TOU but simultaneously has no regard for anyone elses, but I guess hypocrisy is a theme here. Thanks again for reaching out though. I wish there was more we could do to protect what we spend time and effort on to make that ends up being so blatantly disrespected. :/

Coming in hot

New imported lines outside the country have touched the ground of Valentino. A few weeks have passed since their arrival and the first training has been scheduled. The dark bay's name is Soundwave, he made his arrival known by being super loud for the first hours - a very chatty guy. Thundercracker is more of the shy type, an introvert. Being on track has helped him getting back into familiar routes and he has been doing good! He won't be the type to win the big races but we can still try and train him, maybe he will do the unthinkable and prove us wrong. I am not too worried about Soundwave, he has adapted great and probably befriended all staffmembers to make sure they give him treats each time they pass him. Pets are not accepted, treats only - even better when the treats are bananas. Next race has been announced - training session will involve an unknown track, new horses. Halifax I, owned by Eve Sandoval , will be joining the training. I am looking forward to have a chat and get to know some secret training strategies. 👀

Cover of magazines

Last month Donnerwetter was selected to become the cover horse of a equistrian magazine. An agent of the company visited us in person to get to know the individual horses and to find a suiting candidate for the shoot. It did not took long until she found the perfect horse for their aesthetic. To be honest I am not really surprised that she fell head over heels for the dark chestnut with orange hair - after all he is indeed stunning. We scheduled an appointment for the shooting and waited for the results. It did not took long until the first samples were exchanged and an additional interview was booked. What can I say? We made it. ✨

❖ Blooming friendship!

Sandra has been hard working with Shimmer. Last week we had the saddler over to adjust the newly bought tack to the mare. A warmblood back is different from a classic stock horse type after all and it needed a lot of adjustments.

Since then, Sandra has had the mare in the roundpen daily and gotten her ussed to the tack. They also do a lot of groundwork on our trail arena and all I can say is, that these two fit so well together.

Sandra is very happy to have joined the OCS team, shes enjoying the calmer and individual work-time with the horses much more than the stressfull and packed training schedules of the big facility she worked at before. Not that we dont have a training schedule, but the Ranch size makes the difference and we have more room for recreation and bonding. Together with Shimmer, these two really seem to grow in confidence and experience.

The grass is greener on the other side

Moycarn' Ballet Of Blades arrived a few days ago and has been in quarantine since. He has been enjoying his stay on seperate pastures where he could acclimate to the spring weather in Europe. Being originally from Ireland - this little guy got to taste the grass on another part of earth. Do you think he likes it?

❖ More from the foals!

I didnt hesitate as much as last year with re-uniting the herd. The foals are doing fine and neither mare cared much over the fence, so it was just logical to let them all together.

We now have Iota, Mango, Lola and Boony in one mare herd with the foals and they all seem to be doing just fine. The foals now also have names and their registration and gene tests have been sent out, we are just waiting on reports back.

Lola's filly is being registered as "OCS Dont Gimme That", her barn name is Ginny. Shes a Buckskin Tovero, we need to wait what kind of genes she got from her sir and dam to know exactly what her white patterns consist of tho.

And Iota's colt is "OCS Big White Lies", barn name Wendigo. I am waiting for his gene-test to return before i send his registration off, cause it will be a difference between black overo or smoky black overo for him.

For anyone asking, just like last year with Skip, Wendigo will be gelded when hes older. OCS is and will not ever be able to sustain stallions on the Ranch. Its simply to small here to safely keep a stallion. And despite the great pedigree that he has, I have no interest in studding him out or anything. I am simply looking forward to a great show horse and a calm enough temper to also use as riding school horse.

With the days being longer again and golden hour peeking through, Wren thought it would be a nice change of pace to leave the arena ground and take a look at the XC parcour which has been sent to seasonal retirement during winter. Surprisingly the obstacles held up well and only the green foliage needs maintenance. Volantis is a son of Volano - next to Vegas Baby CM, Versace And Tears CM and Viserys CM, all four are owned by Stall Valentino.
