A MAP OF THE SIMWORLD According to ironicscavenger
Hello guys! Well, here’s the map I’ve been working on. Making it was important to me because this visual will help me explain better the next plot points in my story, namely, the new spin-off I’m planning. I don’t want to give much away yet, but this map will come in handy in the future, and also will help you understand the story. This is still very much a WIP, I wanna make that clear. It’s just a rough version that I plan to keep working on and improving, therefore, I’m open to feedback and criticism. Seriously, this is the first map I’ve ever made.
A few notes that go with the map:
All the Continents are slightly based on real life, not geographically but culturally. We have explored Nordhurst (Europe), Whiteshore (America), and a little bit of Snowbridge, where Windeburg is located. The latter isn’t based on any place in particular.
Great Simland is based on the UK.
San Myshuno is the Capital city of Simantina, which I’m basing on my country a bit, except that Spanish and English are both officially recognized languages that everyone speaks.
Selvadorada is a country on its own, and the official language is Spanish.
Interpol is an international law enforcement organization that covers all of Nordhurst, but it has no jurisdiction in any other continent. The Sim Bureau of Investigation (SBI) is a branch of Interpol that focuses on Federal Offences.
Some of the same rules of our own world apply: the climate, therefore the north and south are in different seasons, and the timezones.
There is a 5-hour difference in time between Great Simland and Simantina, and a 3-hour difference between GS and Selvadorada.
Love Day (Valentine’s) takes place on June 20th, the last day of Spring.
This is an evolving list and I will be adding as necessary.
