Sincerely Sorry
When I said I was sorry in meekness, you saw it as deliberate weakness. My apology is like poison in your ears, meaningless in your view, which amplifies my fears. When I say “I’m sorry” it is not an excuse, it means I recognize my action as a form of abuse. I want to understand your views, without having to make more points to prove. When my ego lashed out and let loose, I felt a rope tighten like noose. I am not perfect and made with flaws, but want to work things out for our cause. How did it come to this? Me versus you, stuck in a loop, through and through? You feel disrespected and mad, and I feel frustrated and sad. We keep splintering from love, our core belief, as we continue to live in one another’s grief.
We can keep measuring our pain with our pride, and let the battle continue on each side. I’d rather learn from this mistake, and not be forced to make an absolute break. - Susan Clark (SFCK) Artist: Unknown
