Humbled and Disciplined
I had to sort clothes at the Charity warehouse and then scrub floors at Church and the Parish rooms on my hands and knees on Saturday afternoon. I was wearing woollen underwear, a plain wool dress and as always a long plain dowdy knitted wool cardigan.
I was supervised by the Vicar's wife as usual who ensures that my community work is an appropriate penance for my past sinful misbehaviour.
My sister-in-law was disappointed when she discussed my attitude with the Vicar's wife. As my husband is delayed in returning from abroad my sister-in-law is in charge of my discipline. When I got home I was told to dress in school uniform - shirt, tie, socks, maroon school pinafore dress and a grey knitted school cardigan. I was then made to stand facing the wall for 90 minutes to consider my need to improve before I was sent to bed early without supper.
I wish to thank my sister-in-law for ensuring I am strictly disciplined as I deserve and that I am encouraged to improve my submission, obedience and attitude.
I would like to thank another contributor for encouraging me to share my discipline both as humiliating punishment for myself and to further my learning as well as to make an example of me to other young women as to the consequences of misbehaviour.
I know I have much improvement to make and I welcome any suggestions as to how I can be encouraged to do this which I will share with my husband.
