Here are some jayvik kitten moments from my Warrior Cats AU! I love drawing them when they were younger, they're too cute. I think Goldenkit (Jayce) was a chubby kitten that started a little smaller than Sagekit (Viktor) but QUICKLY grew far bigger.

Some extra info, if you'd like it:

Jayce's father is named ironheart, because it keeps the smithing aspect to his original character through his prefix, and i chose 'heart' as his suffix so that Jayce could inherit it from him, too.

Jayce's dad is deputy of the clan and also becomes Jayce's mentor. Usually cats who are related can't be mentors but I just think that Jayce's Dad would be a positive influence for Jayce, especially in encouraging him to go for what he wants in life, (a relationship with Viktor).

Jayce's dad is mates with Ximena, an ex-kittypet. He does not care about Viktor's origin, or that he's a medicine cat. He believes in judging people by the content of their character and not by the circumstances of their birth. I want that to be something Jayce interiorizes before his father dies and he is given a new mentor, Cassandra, who completely rebukes those ideals.

I think it'll be interesting for future stuff i have planned... Also, that cat who Jayce fought was Dmitri. This is the beginning of their mutual hatred for eachother. Followup coming soon!

Some art of Warrior Cats Au jayvik during their time as apprentices. Sagepaw is Viktor and Goldenpaw is Jayce.

Singedpelt, Sagepaw's mentor, realises pretty early on what's going on between his apprentice and Goldenpaw (He does NOT like Goldenpaw).

Singedpelt tries to maintain distance as a metnor, but still cares about Sagepaw. He sees how the clan treats his apprentice and knows things can only get worse if he continues his closness to Jayce. He knows the dangers of close relationships because he had his own kit once.

Also, I imagine that Singed believes in Star Clan and all, but sort of hates them because they won't let him see his daughter. Just a sad sort of Headcanon. Maybe it's a punishment, or maybe she's not even there because she's still alive, who knows.

The dynamic in the elder's den is similar to that of a sit comtaking place in a retirement home. Goldenheart (Jayce) is fed up with the old men quarreling.

After i finish this comic I will be moving on to a Giopara and Trouble (MH) focused story which, while still having some angst, will be far comedic in tone. I'm looking forward to posting it!

Here are some moments between pre-mentor and apprentice moments Singedpelt and Sagekit (Viktor). I like the idea of Singed being a sort of dad figure to Viktor, on top of being his mentor in this au.

He found (and kind of sort of kidnapped him) Sagekit when he was just 1 month old, so he's the closest thing Viktor has to family until he meets Jayce a few months later. I also think Singed would start Viktor's apprenticeship early, even if it's just to help him organise herbs.

It makes Sagekit feel like he's helping. Singed also helps Sage with his leg and back issues, together learning his limits, and the extent of his range of movement. In turn I think Viktor helps apply treatment to Singed's burns which make him feel more comfortable.

Basically, they fall into a really comfortable, happy dynamic which is very much altered when Jayce shows up, much to Viktor's joy, and Singed's irritation.

There's a lot I can say about Singed in this au, and perhaps I'll divulge more at a later date, but for now, I hope you like this!

Singed, or Singedpelt is a tall, skinny shorthaired cat with speckled grey fur and abundant burn scars on the right side of his pelt. He is blind on his burnt side, as well as missing that ear, and having a cut to his top lip explosing his canine. His other eye is a bright green.

Singedpelt is Piltover's medicine cat and sagesight's mentor. He joined Piltover after surviving a forest fire. Even though he and Heimerdinger were on bad terms, Heimerdinger didn't want to turn him away and offered him a place in the clan as the medicine cat.

Once Sagesight became an experienced enough medicine cat, Singedpelt retired to the elder's den. (in part because he was old enough and he wanted to, but mostly because that way Sage would HAVE to step up, and not be able to run off with Goldenheart). He is a very talented healer and believes in Star Clan, but resents them because they don't allow him to see his daughter. He obeyed Star Clan's command when told to adopt (steal) him, but little else.
