it was terrible. I thought some of the singing was good, but according to my voice teacher, I barely passed. I had a lot of memory issues, and whatever, that can easily be fixed, and two really difficult britten pieces that I had only ever gone over with my accompanist once with music. It was just really bad. The three judges were all telling me completely different things to help with my open vowels in the upper part of the staff, intonation was off apparently, in my last few songs I just completely gave up and was just singing them. I haven't had the time with my coach because either he got sick or for some reason or another we had to miss a couple coachings, which is pissing me the hell off. It was just so bad, I wanted to cry but still had to sing through my britten and then the mozart aria, which in my lesson on thursday was absolute shit. 3 and a half weeks until my recital, there is no time to fix all of the mistakes i made. at least i waited until i walked off stage to cry, and then i got the sheets from the judges and i was the crazy person crying while reading comments in the lobby of the PAC, because i had to give the sheets back to my professor and i wasn't going to walk home and back with those sheets because i knew when i got home i was getting comfy and curling in a ball to lose myself in some tv of sorts. So i had to read through the comments of how bad i was and three different perspectives on how to fix stuff... returned those sheets, and then was the crazy person who was dressed to the nines and walking the half-mile while trying not to completely start sobbing.
how can i expect to get into programs and grad school when I can't even do this. Like, really? I want to do well, I want to wow people on the stage at my recital, but I apparently can't. I felt terrible at my hearing. I had almost no confidence and I just wanted to pass and have them stop looking at me like, "poor baby."
