☹
“Fuck,” he muttered, looking up at the stars glowing in the space between the alley walls. When was the last time he had bothered to look up there? He tried hard to blink away the spots in his vision. He had gotten up from a lot, but he had the feeling that he wouldn’t be walking away from this. He pressed his hands to his stomach, warm liquid seeping through his fingers. It didn't matter how much pressure he put on this one, it was never going to stop. It made no difference to the situation when Enjolras suddenly appeared at his side, crouching beside him, asking him something. It was all just white noise to his ears. It was over.
"Shut up Enjolras," he growled, silencing the revolutionary. "You fucking be careful, okay? And you'd better watch out for Jehan. Don't let him get hurt, not either of you. I know what you're planning and I can't- I can't stop you now. I can't save you, that's fucking up to you."
