We started watching Pearl's POV of Double Life for the first time and it's so interesting but tragic? Like we knew that her and Scott were divorced since episode one but from every other POV we watched it always seemed like it was a mutual split. So imagine our surprise end of episode one when, after doing Martyn's silly game, Cleo and Scott said they decided to be one another's soulmates, explicitly saying they wanted nothing to do with their soulmates AND Martyn (in a fit of misguided frustration) also leaves Pearl.
Which in that same breath I'm surprised that people don't really seem to talk about what are they called, "cheater duo" more often. Especially since for most session one, Martyn and Pearl had been getting along amazingly? They were singing back and forth with each other, generally riffing off of each other. Even in some later episodes, Martyn and Pearl start getting along again. Martyn goes into the water to get Pearl's disc after Scott threw it off the bridge, pretending to run away from her with it to only give it back in his base.
I will admit I'm still not done with watching her POV yet and I know Martyn was trying to get Cleo back most the season as well but how does no one talk about them???
