  I’m sure I’ve said it before, at least in passing. Lee Sin is ultra nationalistic, and radicalized by the war. Lee Sin wants to go back in time and kill Darkwill. He wants to kill the Trifarix right now. He wants to go forward in time and kill anyone that will follow them. This is non negotiable for him today. He thinks that the Noxian state, and cultural ideology, is rotten to the core.

  He is kept in check by redirecting his energy into worship and training, otherwise he would be out there causing major incidents both in Ionian and Noxian territories. He’s also being lowkey manipulated into servitude, as I have discussed somewhere in the headcanon tag. I would not be surprised if his Elders intervened even more, before he could first utter the words, ‘The monks taught me well, but I determine my own fate.’ Imprisoning him may be for the better in the end, yet imprisoning great powers has never really worked well in Ionian history.

  The main thing is that everyone has to be ready for some sort of protest to the occupation, at the cost of lives most likely. He is in desperate need of a reality check, before he ends up throwing himself into a hopeless encounter. That, or just anything outside the sheltered enabling that he gets from the Shojin. His growing power as opposed by his perception of the world will continue to be a concern, until he takes matters into his own hands, or he can find some peace within himself.

Giving way more that you get (and holding it all single-handed)

Romantic relationships are, essentially, partnerships between equals. All relationships need balance to work - and when that balance is destroyed, the relationship is over, even if, at first glance, everything is still working. But it is not.   You are not in a relationship just to give, you have to have something in return - otherwise, that's not a relationship, it's an worship. A relationship doesn't require everything to be 50/50 (including in money related aspects), but when one of the members of the couple is responsible for making 99% of the phone calls, there is something quite wrong there.   Relationships don't have guidelines, there is not a manual for love. Being so, good sense is required... but am I to talk about good sense when love in involved? This is another lesson I have learned the hard way.   When one of the members of the couple assume the expenses of the relationship, there is no longer a relationship - there is someone adoring another individual, being the later in a situation that it’s comfortable, but technically unfair. When both elements are committed to make a relationship work, this kind of unbalance never happens. Never, I repeat. When there is a clear unbalance, there is no longer a relationship and the one who is holding everything single-handed should simply run away and let the building crumble down (and I should have done it when I had to opportunity to do it).   You may say that this kind of unbalance has justifications. But no. It doesn't. It has excuses - one of the members is quite good at making them. But very soon, excuses turn into half-truths and half-truths become lies... and lies never have place in relationships.   Remember: there are no single-person partnerships.
