Mission accomplished! 😎 Here's a bit of phone footage from earlier today. Amplify's live room sounds so good! 4 1/2 seconds of decay makes the drums sound like cannons! 💣💣💣 New heads help as well. 😉 It was an awesome experience overall! Amplify was also nice enough to use a couple of their cameras to catch some different video angles, so I'll be posting some clips of that soon. It all looks and sounds freaking good! Let's just say I'm glad I wiped off the grime and polished the cymbals. 👍 The drums are all unloaded and I'm exhausted. Something I've been working on recently in the practice room. A few months ago, I discovered a great drummer - @stanbicknell. Check him out if you have not already! Anyway, his foot technique is quite similar to what I'm already using but he repeats the motion, thus creating something resembling Moeller technique, but with your feet! I have to wonder why I hadn't already thought of this, as it seems so obvious now. But, as my teacher once said, "sometimes you need to see someone else do something to realise that it's possible". So huge thanks to Stan for the awesome inspiration. Need to work on my accuracy a bit but I can already tell that I'm gonna hurt people with this technique once I get a bit more comfortable with the motion! Getting more comfortable and therefore faster at @stanbicknell 's foot technique. Check him out if you have not already, he's a lot farther along with it than I am! His foot technique is kinda similar to what I'm already using but he repeats the motion, thus creating something resembling Moeller technique, but with your feet! Here's a crazy fast lick I got from John Blackwell's first DVD. It's RLK over and over again but, at this sort of speed, I find it easier to interpret the RL as a Flam. I genuinely get out of breath playing this pattern haha, but it's great for the end of a solo! #drums #fastdrumming #lineardrumming #singlepedal
