Bit more progress was made this weekend! I took a break from building village houses to do some terraforming on these badlands cliffs, where a large city will be going!
(I forgot to take good 'before' pictures for this comparison, so the one on the left is. pretty old and at a less than stellar angle. I mostly just whittled down some pillars that were right in the way of the cliff face, and some that had a lot of bare stone on the surface that. clashed real bad with the rest of the landscape.)
I still need to do a bit of terraforming along the coastline, especially along the ground where there's bare patches of terracotta that need to be covered back up with red sand :p
But! I'm still not in the mood to get back to building just yet, so I'll probably be taking a break to do some advancing of my gear and to get myself a beacon for haste- as one part of this project is going to include digging out a caldera at the top of this mountain!
It'll be a while before I'm properly working on that- I'd like to finish building out the rest of the village first- but a beacon would be helpful nonetheless. Plus, I'm still just working with diamond gear, so I'll probably also spend some time getting netherite while I'm in the nether for the next while lol. Might be a bit till I give an update on actual build process, with all that upgrading to do.
