' beat ' for siegfried ! can't refuse a dance w/ your captain, now can you ?

shaking his head, siegfried chuckles softly, obviously caught at a disadvantage.  the captain is right and besides, how could he possibly refuse such an earnest request?  although it has been some time since a dance was required of him, he manages to recall his ballroom etiquette and silently reminds himself that the gentleman must lead his partner confidently and always with his left foot first.

with a little bow of his head, he offers ruefa his gloved hand — ah, so far, so good.  “my captain,” he murmurs, voice fond and gentle, “may i have this dance?”

the captain couldn't help but feel herself resting in the same shoes as the daintha. she was just like her once, seventeen and shaking like a leaf --- it makes approaching her bright and simple, a smile across ruefa's warm visage, able to freely speak. " i found something ... something i think you'd like . " a large book emerges from behind the draph's cloak ; she only wiggles it around, quietly excited. " a book on some local l -- legends ... chance me a read together ? "

          diantha couldn’t help but keep staring over the vast skies. even as her island faded from view, even as lyria and vryn showed her around the ship, even as she had her first unique dinner with many more to come in her future — this sky was her future and she couldn’t pry her eyes from it whenever she was able to see it. it fascinated her to no end, and the sunset she now stared at took her breath away. what an expanse of vibrant colors that stretched around her compared to the soft glow peaking over tree and building tops. she already shed a few tears in the quiet of her new room, but this beauty snatched one more from her eyes…

          …and it cemented her decision once again. her decision to see this vast world with the blessing of xolotl; to take on new experiences and encounter anything and everything she couldn’t before as an anxious little maiden…though now she was an anxious girl instead. a whole new life at her fingertips didn’t just make those feeling evaporate. instead it now clung to not that she had to make no mistakes as a maiden, but now to she had to carry her weight and then some in this crew. she wouldn’t sit back idle during a journey across the skydom; she couldn’t; her mind would never rest until she felt she was really worthy of the captain’s invitation. she had her personal wishes, but she had to fulfill the ones the crew would put on her too, so she had to do her best to earn this vast and breathtaking sky — !

          watery eyes made the sunset meld together, and the sound of footsteps made her unconsciously blink all of it away, immediately facing ruefa as she approached her. “ d-danchou! oh, you surprised me! ” feigning happiness in her shocked tone, the hand she placed on her chest as she sighed stayed there to calm her fast paced heart. and it does calm a bit thanks to ruefa’s quite warm aura, though cheeks turn bright pink once she started speaking, and the book making her heart skip a beat. eyes sparkle but without tears, breath taken once more, “ oh it looks beautiful… ” let out in an awe whisper, though her own enthusiasm made her blush more with a sheepish smile. the captain going out of her way to find this…it doesn’t calm her internal struggles, but it does make her at least feel…welcomed. a gift for her new home. “ o-oh, of course! wh-where do you want to read: out here, in the kitchen, or is there some special room? ”

     Singularities were cumbersome.

     First, there was that sad excuse for an Astral, a man who brings bile to Lucilius’ throat at the mere thought of speaking his foul name. Undeserving of the power given unto him, craving more despite that, even taking the coward’s route and choosing to rule over a wasteland instead of accepting the punishment of existence - it’s a mystery in itself how Lucilius hadn’t opted to put him out of his misery sooner.

     Then...

     Oh, then...

     There was this singularity, obstinate and stalwart despite the odds being against her, fire blazing in her eyes, enduring flames refusing to be extinguished - much like another in opposition to him. Why? Why do they still heed the will of the skies like puppets, their strings unsevered in the face of adversity? 

     ...Their stubborn reputation precedes them. 

❝ What happened to that silence you held onto earlier...? ❞

     He muttered with disinterest, unfazed by her words; his fingertips only slowly dug deeper into the woman’s chin, unable to feel the flesh under his grasp. Perhaps there was a spark inside his chest then, a distant emotion of pride, scorn - anything he might’ve felt more strongly were his body not the amalgamation of Astral and Primal.

          AND  JUST  WHAT  are  the  flowers  for  ?   Lucilius  stares  down  at  the  floral  simply  curious  to  why  he   even  deserved  it   ?    glossed  ebony  fingers  caress  the  fauna  in  his  grasp  ,   he  clearly  looks  apathetic  and even  not  -  bothered  by this  genuine  action  from  the  female .  to  be  fair  ,   people  aren’t  exactly  fond  of  him  so  getting  any  sort  of  appreciation  had  been  surprising    &   even  suspicious   in  a   way  .    “    what  are  these  for   ?   “

metatron is very big, yes, and very —- bright, but the captain was anything but deterred by such frivolous things as massive height and brightness ! “ ug ... give — hug ... ” it’s not the clearest sentence but the half-draph only hugs metatron’s nearest limb ; pleasantly occupied with the task of showing the other love, as a captain should, no matter the height !

He doens’t really feel it with his bodacious body , even at his half height considering that he is still wearing his armor ,if he showed off his true form people might attack him for Avatar again and so held his silence. 

Appreciated none the less.

That damned Singularity. Things wouldn’t have come to this point if that demon did his job right, but he couldn’t even do that right. Beelzebub scowls as the young woman punches him squarely in the torso.

He grabs her wrist before she can pull away. Sharpened tendrils rise behind him.

“Pity that didn’t work,” he croons. “I’ll send you to the afterlife with that high-and-mighty Lucifer.”
