I'm literally so emotional rn I was diagnosed with p-ocd 2 years ago and I just found your blog. For a year I was medicated and getting better and uuhh long story short I had to stop my medication. I had no idea false memory OCD was even a thing and I was told pretty much nothing about the spectrum of ocd when I was diagnosed. Every day I feel like a piece of shit, just like the worst human ever and it's kind of comforting ig to know ppl are out there going through the same thing. So thank you for running this blog❤

Muriel bc he also has some trust issues and he’s just a soft, kind, fairly unproblematic hobo who lives in the woods with his pet chickens he’s a trauma/abuse survivor except his abuser literally haunts the woods he lives in and refuses to leave him alone so u know, guy just cant catch a break He’s tired emotionally, spiritually and physically Cooks u eggs on the first date

I just discovered yesterday that Julian is explicitly a masochist. I don’t know if that’s up your alley but it was a very pleasant surprise for me. But I’m just biding my time until more Muriel books come out

I’m close with my mother, though we argue pretty harshly sometimes, especially about her view on certain things [still not quite okay with me being bi]. I still love her a lots

In high school - history and biology. At uni, I enjoyed the historical study of christian religion, and various other religions [which is like… what my whole major is about. we have a lot of other courses, like methodology of social research and all the other boring stuff that comes with it, but those about all the different religions are so goddamn interesting aaa]

The Wheel of Fortune: What are your character’s proudest successes?

probably a tie between 1) earning the money to buy their aunt’s old shop back after they’d sold all their father’s properties and donated the money. they’ve always been adamant about becoming independent, not relying on any of the ill-gotten gains their father had left behind. and 2) rescuing an injured black cat from a superstitious old asshole and nursing her back to health. her name is sunshine and she’s surprisingly mobile for a three-legged kitty.

of course, they only remember the latter one at this point, as the former happened before You Know What.

The Tower in Reverse: When has your character’s actions led to disaster?

they’ve managed to keep out of trouble for the most part in the past three years, probably largely because most of that time was spent learning how to be a person again and all. before that, though... more times than they’d ever want to remember. as their father’s best tool for keeping his cult in line, they ruined the lives of dozens of individuals and families. whether it was through magical manipulation and coercion or straight-up murder, they have years of sins on their hands and they’re going to be absolutely wrecked when they find out they didn’t even have the decency to remember.
