Imagine Heathcliff as a butch lesbian in text. Why Cathy can't marry him... not just because he's Black but because he's a trans and they can't propagate the family or whatever. So Cathy was like "I'll marry Linton, have a son and then we can raise that child together after Linton dies" but Heathcliff felt betrayed and left while Cathy dies in after childbirth....

And then Heathcliff came back with a son he abuses... (just imagine in this context, he also was forced to give birth against his will) :(

Isabella left her house to follow this man, but realises she was just used by him (and finding out he's trans too) and he just dumps it on her to raise Linton Heathcliff in his stead.

Only to continue abusing Linton Heathcliff by forcing him to marry Catherine Edgar. Genuine psychological torture.
