Good grief. Jay felt unbelievably tired. Why was she already this tired? Her endurance is usually much better than this; she should have at least another ten hours in her. & yet… dizzy, too. She felt dizzy. — perhaps it is just the wind that is constantly blowing against her face. Sure, there is not much logic connected to that hypothesis, but it provided her with some sort of action she could take in attempt to help herself: closing the tinted glass window.
The ferry travelling to The City of Glass was a fairly small one. Almost all passengers were seated outside, taking in the gorgeous sight as they traverse through the waters, but Jay… couldn't care less about sightseeing. Besides, she didn't like standing under the sun. Instead, she sat inside, where the tinted glass prevented the sun from blinding her as she attempted to write in her traditional notebook. It was much quieter than it was outside, too, for the only other person with her was someone rather… introverted? reserved? Whatever the case; not someone attempting to chat with her for no reason. It was appreciated.
It was actually Jay who was the first to break the silence upon closing the window. "Huh," she'd start, realizing it's the first time she'd actually look out the window for the past twenty minutes, as she was too focused on her attempt in writing to do so any earlier. "It's not normally this foggy outside..."
Foggy didn't cut it. If you asked Jay to describe what she sees outside, she'd fail to tell you anything; that's how foggy it was. Despite that, she'd sit back down anyway, resuming her work. She didn't feel dizzy anymore, so— she might as well.
…
Strange. A glance on her wristwatch shows its been another ten minutes already. Looking out the window, the fog had cleared out by now, but— were her eyes playing a trick on her, or was the ferry barely moving anymore?
"— have we… stopped?"
