As relieved as I am that Remmick died in the movie, I’m even more relieved that Joan and Bert died with with him. If those two had managed to break out of the hive mind like Stack and Mary, they would have wrecked even worse havoc on the black community in Clarksdale than Remmick would ever think to do. Remmick was a menace, but Bert and Joan were ticking time bombs.

I know we hate Joan and Bert before the bite, but when the Choctaw leader asked Joan if remmick came by and she just goes, "No," that was, in fact, the cutest thing I've ever seen.

It's so petulant. It's not hard to imagine her saying "humph" as she crosses her arms and stomps her foot.
