I apologize if you've already answered this question, but what happened to Cal's hand? And where'd he get the prosthesis? I love seeing other people who think of their Fallout protags as their OCs! I thought I was the only one. 😁
he's a raider warlord and his gang, the red hands, had a run-in with the legion before the events of new vegas. cal's people were overwhelmed and slaughtered, and lanius cut cal in the battle and left him to bleed out.
he didn't die but had to amputate his arm. he made his own prostheses - the first was very simple but he gradually crafted more complex designs. finally, when he went to big mt, the think tank gave him a fancy bionic one.
(cal's actually an oc i've had since i was like 12 lol - but i throw him into every game with a customizable protagonist because i love him)

Hera is a goddess of wealth? I've never heard about that being associated with her! Could you tell me more?
I have a multi-part answer for you, because this is an emerging part of my practice rather than a strictly historical epithet!
The parts are this: a lot of my magical practice is planetary/astrologically based, and Hera naturally accompanies Zeus in the Jupiterian sphere. I’ve been offering and praying to Tykhe, the daimon of fortune, as part of my ongoing wealth workings. Divination basically resulted in Hera repeatedly going “No, really, it’s okay, I’ve Got This”, and then @pieandhotdogs directing my attention to the Temple of Juno Moneta, in which money was minted.
And so when that many threads cross, I have to test it out, divine, test it out, divine further, and then roll with it. Splitting the hair of epithet vs handmaiden doesn’t seem productive to me at this point; I address this power as Hera-Tykhe or Tykhe interchangeably without affecting the results, and divination affirms that Hera is hearing my prayers and responding to my offerings.
I don’t know whether this connection would be born out for everyone. Hera takes a very strong sovereignty role in my life and worship, and financial resources are a significant part of sovereignty in modern life. All I’m doing here is offering my own experiences.
Hi! Could I get a "Thank you, Professor Science" in the most sarcastic font you have? Love the blog!!

happy hc asks: Mr. Arthur Shappey, Esq. #5 and #9
Arthur Shappeys love language? ALL FIVE OF THEM COMBINED. THE MAN HIMSELF IS PURE LOVE
...and Arthur happiest birthday he ever had is - all of his birthdays. and all of Carolyn’s birthdays. and Gerti’s birthday. Gordon’s birthdays, however, are just “alright”
(but just imagine Arthur on his birthday. and the night before the birthday. he’s just too excited to fall asleep as he thinks of the cake and the candles and the singing with such unabashed joy)

You are one of the strongest women I know, I’m so proud of you and the life you’ve made for yourself.
@sinnersinc said: Some serious Hera vibes!! 😄
Yes, you’re both right. Thank you Ronan, and thank you K. I’d like both of these statements to be true, so I’ll treat them as though they are <3 Hera is one of my patron deities and is my daughter’s patron specifically, so it’s not surprising her vibes suffuse my life (and posts).
For those I just added, my og blog is @sinners-inc and my discord was hacked so. HELLO~!
Shouto wasn't sure what to make of whatever was going on in front of him. He had noticed this "Do" person hang around his old man more and more lately, but he had been too busy with school and internships to bother asking about the nature of their relationship. He wasn't stupid. He knew something was going on.
Though, given how busy he and his dad were, he figured that if his old man wanted to tell him something, he would. So, when he was called to the previous estate, he came without much fuss.
He stood in front of them with a neutral expression on his face. "So, what did you want to talk to me about?"
