It was here that Jounoichi met the man again. Though whether it was pure coincidence or luck that they so happened to end up in the same District was a bit daunting in itself. Before that however, the raven-haired teen was on the run once again from the fauna of the area- although less this time from where first waking up in Auburn. His being alone did cause a bit of anxiety as he had gotten used to Seiga’s company in the month of getting to know them.

So sitting on the forest floor, fire crackling from the gathered wood and the chirping noises of the insects- he was stuck between alertness and the hesitant lull of sleep. A crack made his eyes snap open and shifted to a crouching position; whether it was fauna, someone trying to sneak up, or an ally was unknown and he couldn’t take that chance. Hands clenched tightly, Joey quickly got up and turned for a preemptive attack- only to see the man from last time and stop before he actually stuck him. 

“Y-You’re from before!” His adrenaline was pumping fast, shocked at the surprise. “You really shouldn’t sneak up on someone! What if I hadn’t stopped?!”

This was it...She could barely keep it in control, let alone actively tie it down. No matter what she did, how much sleep purposely lost, and purposely holding it down to the point of it hurting inside-Riku felt herself maddening with each moment.

She was starting to wonder, what was the damn point? She would just be one more crazy victim to the curse that was being a Half-Demon, hell the strawberry blond should count her graces for lasting 11 years without losing to the urges. Besides, if it got too dangerous those scientist bastards could just order some guard or something to take her out.

“Ha...ha ha, ‘the hell am I kidding? They’re the ones who started all this by taking my collar.”

“My time is out.”

You never really know what you miss until it’s gone. Though, in this case, Klause knows damn well that he misses his sword. He’s treated that sword like it was his life. It is. His father’s sword given to him just before his passing. The moment it was taken from him by those Scientist....It had created a hole in his heart, pretty much. 

He wonders if that man with the wooden sword feels the same way about his taken possession. “Hn...” And there he goes, staring unaware again.

“Pardon me for saying so, but the way you carry yourself, you would appear to be a soldier.”

It’s hard to say what exactly has caught his eye about this particular individual, seemingly a human like the majority of the city is. He’s certainly not the only individual on this planet that looks as if he has seen battles, or the only one reflexively holding onto a wooden weapon.

(it certainly wasn’t the detail on said wooden weapon, though that as an afterthought certainly caught his attention.)

He isn’t an expert at guessing the age of humans, but there is something about the other that seems to suggest he has seen more than most.

“FALL INTO OBLIVION!” With electricity crackling in his hand and conducted by the knife, Joey stabbed down into the face of the drone and sent it into it- short circuiting it. It was embarrassing to say, but Jounoichi had no time for embarrassment when these things were going around attacking people!

Its been nearly non-stop fighting these things and again he was glad for his stamina even if all his powers weren’t unlocked. And to use the Cursed Vampiric Left hand for saving instead of hurting...It was definitely something to think about. Muttering the words to release the borrowed energy from his body, he felt his adrenaline go down, if for a few minutes. He needed to rest, but...

“This is really tough...” Sighing, he scanned around the area- looking for some form of solstice from all the fighting for the past few days, instead spotting someone instead. “Huh?”

Another stranger with a sword! Left was still not used to see so many strangers walking by with weapons, and was fighting the urge to run away and hide. “D... do you... use that... to hurt people...?” A silly question indeed. He didn’t even know what was he asking.
