Tropical Flat Snake - Siphlophis compressus
This beauty is scientifically named Siphlophis compressus (Colubridae), an exclusively Amazonian species, arboreal and nocturnal, which feeds mainly on lizards, but occasionally on snakes, mammals, anurans, and also lizard eggs.
Due to the fact that the Tropical Flat Snake is rarely observed, the species remains poorly known and is presumably endangered in several regions.
