I've tried to make my own gifs before and failed horribly at it. Once, I tried to use a HD quality version of a show, and it just came out really pixilated and nasty. What program do you use to create your gifs, and is it rather simple to do so?
It’s hard to explain in two words, so here’s a little “tutorial”. This is the easiest way for me to make gifs.
Forgive me my English.
Programs used:
Format FactoryPhotoshop CS5
Step 1: Cut the segment of a video that you want to make a gif of and convert it to .mp4 (skip this step if it’s already .mp4). I use for this Format Factory. It’s free and easy to use. It’s so easy to use that I won’t even write about it.
Step 2: Open Photoshop. Then File > Import > Video Frames to Layers.
Select the video. Then select the frames you want to gif by holding shift key and moving the slider to the right (dark gray shows the beginning and the end of a segment).
Step 2.5: Make sure the “Animation” window is open (Window > Animation).Delete the extra frames from animation panel if you neet to.
Step 3: Select all frames and set frame delay time (or it’ll play too fast) by clicking on the little arrow at the bottom.
Step 4: Crop/resize/whatever the image, then convert it to timeline animation.
Step 5: Select all of your layers in the layers panel and go to Layer > Smart Objects > Convert to Smart Object. After that you can easily apply filters to the smart object.
Step 8: Almost done! Go to File > Save for Web and Devices.
1.Make sure that it says GIF.2.I recommend you to keep it always as pattern, but you you can change it to diffusion or noise, it doesn’t really matter.3.The less quanity of colors - the smaller the size of the gif will be. But be careful, cause it also affects the quality.4.Check “Forever” so your gif will loop infinitely.5.Look at the bottom left and make sure it is less than 1MB for 500px gif and less that 2MB for 250 (and less) px gif.
Cinemagik Photography is a run to try to show the world what I've been up to for the past couple of years. Taking photos is the only thing in the world I am truly passionate about, and after three years and five-thousand photos later I'd decided to try something new. I'm reaching out to infect the public, to show the world what I'm made of, or at least how I see it.
So, after the idea was bounced off of me today, here is the official Tumblr page for Cinemagik Photography. Hopefully I can expand my fan base, get new clients and someday go so much further than my little town.
Please if you have any spare time in the world at all, go to www.facebook.com/cinemagikphotography and hit the "LIKE" button.
It would mean more than the world to me and I would appreciate even just one.
Thank you all. Now, let the uploading commence.
