Dear Gus & Magnus,

The Video Team and I spent the day making a promotional video for an event we have in our Ridgeland office. The event is called the Garver Rib & Roll, but I wrote a script in which an employee thinks it's called the Garver Ribbon Roll, and of course, shenanigans ensue. It's going to be a good video, but filming took way longer than I had hoped it would, and we accidently broke a $1,400 video monitor, which made the process a little more difficult. We got back to little rock after midnight, making for a really long day.

Dear Gus & Magnus,

This morning I left the house around 5:45 to head to the airport. Gus was already up and dress and on his second episode of How to Train Your Dragon when I got downstairs. I flew to Dallas to meet up with Bryan and Brandon in Frisco to work on a few different video shoots, then we hit the road for home, stopping in Mount Pleasant to eat dinner at Nardello's. They dropped me at the airport on our way into town and I came home to a sleeping house at 11pm. It was a long day. I'm glad to be home the rest of the week.

Dear Gus & Magnus,

We had our team Christmas party today and played a dirty Santa game after a potluck. Because it's Mom's birthday, I went and picked up her favorite sushi on my way home. When I walked through the door, you two and Mom were all wearing hats at the dinner table and I thought to myself how happy I am that your mom is so fun and that she is ours.

Dear Gus & Magnus,

Filming has gone poorly and we're way behind schedule. One of our engineer/actors suggested we go to a quick lunch across the street for Korean BBQ. Didn't realize we'd have to cook our own meal and it would take forever, but it was pretty good food.

When we wrapped our shoot late this afternoon and an interview I had tomorrow fell through, I decided to come home a day earlier than scheduled. You two were already in bed when I got home, but I was glad to see Mom.

I barely had time to unpack from the NOLA trip when I had to pack for a work trip to Wichita with the Video Team to film this year's Montana Breakfast video. We took this picture because I needed a thumbnail for my daily announcement, which I recorded in the van for the first time (that I can remember).

Dear Gus & Magnus,

The Video Van is rolling to northwest Arkansas for a shoot tomorrow, but we stopped for lunch on our way out of town. I took this picture to document the fact that Bryan is sharing his AI artwork with Brandon and Brandon doesn't know what to make of it. For the last few months, Bryan has been obsessed with giving AI software strange prompts and seeing what kind of art it creates.

On the homefront, Magnus has stopped sleeping unless someone is in his room, lying on the floor beside his crib. It's awful and we don't know how to fix it. I'm exhausted. Mom's exhausted.

Dear Gus & Magnus,

We're filming a video for the Texas Department of Transportation today in support of their End the Streak campaign, which is an effort to go a full day without someone dying on Texas roads. It hasn't happened since November 7, 2000, which was 18 years old. In my interview with Commissioner Laura Ryan today, she told me they're averaging 11.5 deaths a day right now, which is insane.

Anyway, before we started filming, I made Bryan take us to Juiceland, my favorite smoothie place in the world.
