"Congratulations, Lethe." The words would have meant nothing to him if it came from anyone else, but it was coming from the closest thing to family he had. Green-Blue hues stared into deep pools of icy blue with a grin stretching his lips as he gave a shrug.
"I mean, it's really nothing, I hadn't done a gallery reveal in almost two years." He chuckled, giving Klysm Hale a tight handshake and warm hug as they saw each other once more in almost a year, "Where have you been all this time?" He questioned, arching a brow, before turning to Klysm's wife and taking her hand in his and giving it a light kiss, "I missed the sight of your wife." He joked, giving her a wink in the same manner with which he flirted with anyone he had a sincere fond for. Albeit he liked Clary Hale for every reason but intimacy.
To him, she was like a sister-in-law, one that made his almost brother a happy individual and it had been years since he'd seen the Englishman this content with life. Normally he was a reclused emo that stuck himself into work and drove off anyone that was moderately kind to him.
With a chuckle and shove to the male Klysm spoke, "We've been everywhere, between work and our family things are just hectic." The pale male confessed, looking over towards his son-in-law and his daughter, "These two keep me on my toes more than I'd like." He sighed, shaking his head with resignation.
"How are my favorite muse and his fiancee doing?" The young artist questioned, eyes falling on honey hues before scanning over to the female at his side with fondness. He'd remember having a light laugh at the distraught in Klym's voice when he'd been told some "deranged Italian" was out for his "sweet angel" of a daughter.
Somehow the fact that Klysm was a parent now was odd to him because he'd always seemed younger than his actual age, hell he looked like he was still in his twenties despite being older than that. It was one of the reasons why he saw Klysm more like a brother than a father.
"Well, we're still planning the wedding, and Klysm is still being a pain, but other than that I think everything is going pretty great. However, I can't speak for my fiancee, I could be doing a shit job." He chuckled, with a shrug, leaning over to give his wife-to-be a kiss on her cheek.
"What about you Lethe? Do you have any plans to settle down?" Klysm asked he saw Lethe as a mix between a son and close family member, he was wise beyond his years and trustworthy - which wasn't something he found easily in his world.
A quiet laugh filled their space as the brunet shook his head, "Oh God no!" Lethe shook his head, "I don't do relationships. I throw great parties and pick the best-looking individual of the night to spend my time with and then I move on. I honestly can't see it being any other way."
Natanaele gave a snicker, "That's what we all say, look where we are now!" the former model grinned, "You just haven't found the right person man, you'll get there." he smirked, with a glint in his eyes that said he knew something none of them did.
Before he could retaliate, the head of security was escorting someone to him, causing a scene amongst the audience enjoying his works of art, "What in the hell?" He muttered under his breath, brow arching as an openly annoyed look crossed his face for a brief moment before he could compose himself once more.
"I'm sorry for the interruption bu--" The head of security never got a chance to finish.
"If you were half as smart as you are strong you'd know better than to bring such a loud individual into the main room of the gallery!" Lethe all but hissed under his breath. "What the fuck is even going on?" He looked at the individual before him who was breaking every dress code possible for this upscale event.
It was embarrassing, to say the least. After all, some of the most important people in all of Chicago and the US were present tonight. And here he was dealing with a noisy brat.
"It's best we take this elsewhere." Klysm suddenly stated, peering around the room at the sudden silence filled with whispering. Natanaele could see the familiar flashes of paparazzi and was reminded of the most annoying years of his mortal life.
It was so unbearable he found himself breaking approximately six Elysium Laws. However, by the time he'd acted on his emotions the air around them was frozen and everyone but the noisy intruder and his family and friends was breathing. The time around them had completely frozen over.
With a sigh and apologetic look towards his fiancee he removed the guards' grasp from around her, "Would you care to explain what's going on right now? We won't hurt you, but we would like to have a peaceful time right now." He informed before returning back to his fiancee's side. So much for a peaceful night out.
Lethe was more than ready to tear into the girl when he looked around and realized what had just happened, "Why is no one moving?" His voice was full of awe and slight concern, his angered daze seeping out of him as the overwhelming silence filled him.
"One matter at a time Lethe, right now let's focus on this young woman," Klysm informed, gaze cold and ever so rational. That's the Klysm Lethe knew since he was younger. The scary and predatorial sort of guy who you did not mess with.
"Y-yeah, okay." He stuttered slightly before his gaze returned to their uninvited guest and he was suddenly as cold and unwavering as Klysm, "What exactly are you doing here of all places?"
