sirjosh10 answered your question “Are there ever any httyd fandom chats?”
You can find livestreams from time to time, there's a really cool guy called Hittower who will do them occasionally
I'll have to keep a look out I guess. Thanks for replying!
Got tagged for some questions
1 If you had to add something to humanity, what would your contribution be?
Since I hope to teach History, I'd want to produce a crop of kids with a genuine love of the subject. Maybe convince people that History doesn't have to be taught in a dry, boring manner
2 What is THE adventure you want to have before you die?
I want to see more of the world. All the natural wonders and great cities.
3 What do you love doing that you aren’t doing?
Right now I'm not travelling or teaching. Stuck flailing my way through school and financial mazes.
4 Where do you want to live?
I love the Willamette Valley. It;s one of the most beautiful regions of one of the most beautiful and geographically diverse states. That's why I love Oregon, You can go from coastal rain forest to high desert to temperate valley.
5 What do you want to accomplish?
I want to learn and pass on at least a few things worth knowing.
6 What do you want to be remembered by?
That I maybe helped a few people. That I got out and saw/did/said some interesting things. That I was a worthwhile person to know.
7 Who are your mentors?
A bunch of crusty old men that sat around a campfire and taught me more about History than I ever learned in a classroom.
8 What ignites your brain?
Problems that can't be solved head on, that take some progression and careful thought before the solution can be applied. Especially true of fighting experienced fencers for the first time.
9 What are you proud of so far?
I've taken a bunch of newbie fencers and helped to grow our little group into a bunch of fighters that are getting attention in the broader SCA community.
10 Where would you want to live most? Past, present, future?
As much as I love the past I'm rather fond of things like penicillin and plumbing. The future would be pretty damn cool but seeing the progression from the present would be much cooler.
11 What’s your motivation?
Continual improvement of myself and helping others do the same.
So here's some new ones
Most impressive physical feat you've ever done?
Proudest accomplishment?
Last meal you cooked that you took a lot of pride in?
Something you know now you didn't a year ago?
Something you where surprised to learn about yourself/how others perceive you?
Favorite childhood movie/show?
A food you cannot stand?
A book you couldn't put down/read in one sitting?
If you were to learn a new martial art, what would it be?
Are you a bad flyer?
The thing you miss most from childhood?

The Tag Game
Rule 1: Always post the rules
Rule 2: Answer the questions the person who tagged you asked and write 11 new ones.
Rule 3: Tag 11 people and link them to the post.
Rule 4: Actually tell people you’ve tagged them.
1. What was your least favourite movie and why?
Bruno. Besides the gratuitous full frontal male nudity, the whole thing was just teeth grinding stupidity masquerading as satire.
2. If there was a magic door that appeared in your room, but you didn’t know what was behind it, would you go through it knowing that you couldn’t go back?
Hard to say... A fresh start and a clean slate could be nice, but I'm also something of a homebody...tough call.
3. Do you have a favourite place to go to to think?
Anywhere outdoors, preferably from a higher vantage point so I can see the landscape. Next to a campfire is also good,
4. What do you find to be most aesthetically pleasing?
Simplicity. Clean organic lines with minimalist characteristics.
5. If you were to write a story, what would it be about?
Something high fantasy, with a story of a close knit company of colorful characters crossing a vast diverse landscape and interacting with diverse and distinct cultures. Adventure, revenge, forgiveness, loss, true love, the whole shebang.
1. What song have you probably listened to the most?
2. What's the best dish you can cook?
3. Have you ever been in a physical confrontation?
4. If you were given power over life and death, would you trade one person's life for another's?
.5. What physical sense would be the hardest for you to lose?
gyrwolf, sirjosh10, jengrayson, thetavernknight, penandapincushion: Tag, you're it.
Reverse mermaid. I'm so sorry.
