What do you call a dinosaur who can see into the future?
A Tarot-dactal.

Favourite TAZ arcs or overall moments? Treasured NPCs?
I really enjoyed petal to the metal and the eleventh hour best I think. I was totally blown away by a lot of RP from Justin in the end (particularly Taako pointing the umbra staff at Lucretia when he got his memory back.) And the RP when their memories faded, especially the way Justin and Travis jumped on their memories fading before Griffin even gave the prompt for it. Taako's "who?" after Barry mentioned Lup that last time was heart-wrenching.
Lup. Oh and Roswell, Kerry, Killian, Angus, but Lup is at the top I think.

You finished stolen century yet?
I’m just finishing up chapter six of seven.
of an arc Griffin said would take two sessions XD

You’re in the suffering game. Hang onto your emotions butt.
I am ready!
@sirlochard replied to your post “5e needs more nuanced shields, rather than just “shield, +2 AC that’s...”
This is the 5e weakness. It is nice and simple and easy to learn but once you start wanting more difference and complexity it doesn't offer without house rules. It's kinda a feature of the system really rather than a bug.
Definitely, I think it was their intent to make the game easy to learn, and to come up with stuff easily, or to make rulings on the fly easier. And I personally think that adding more meat to the game is way easier as well (i never actually tried to make stuff for 4e, but there were definitely more things and bigger numbers to keep track of). And like, instead of having to ask the vague entity of Wizards of the Coast why they think shields work that way I can just decide how I want shields to work and add it in myself. It’s definitely encouraged in the rule books to go for it so yeah.
The idea of start bare bones and simple and provide encouragement or guides to add more complexity as you see fit is really brilliant because like, not only do I get to work it out the way I want (I can guarantee you if WotC had more shields in there I’d be rolling my eyes at how they were balanced- like I do with armor, padded armor would not give you disadvantage on stealth, gambeson is actually pretty solid armor), but between my three separate games, I can tweak one homebrew idea three different ways to fit the need of each group. One group is mostly casters, so a wide variety of shields is unneeded, one group is small but decently balanced and includes a champion fighter, so more options for him to add flavor to his beatdowns is fun, the other group has no healers so they get more potions, and probably won’t have lingering injury rules added because no one can greater restoration your arm back (<--that one is yall- if you want cool shields you can have cool shields). And overall, that’s much easier and better than having to cut out a rule that’s already in there to try and balance for a party that’s sub-optimal.
Even so, that is in no way ragging on 4e, because I am definitely adding back like four or five features of 4e that were cut out of 5e that I think were brilliant and I want to use.

Yay! You’re back listening! We’ve been relistening and things just get better and better from the point you’re in.
He's making them reveal backstory now, so that's always fun. But yeah, life got a little disrupted in like all departments for a while, and I actually usually listen while I"m washing dishes or making bread, and can't stop to liveblog much, but I've been listening as much as I can.

Is this some new fifth edition thing that says tiefling and such outsider kin express at puberty? Cause that totally has not been the case in prior editions.
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... actually now that I think about it I just said it because anon said it and it seemed right at the time. But it might not be in the book? Or is presented as an option? Shoot. Now I actually have to open my rule books.
