The battle for the Pridelands had been won. The Lion Guard were rushing home and the Outlanders had scattered, except for those that had been on the winning side. While the other Pridelanders tended to each other’s wounds, Ma Tembo stepped forward and gingerly approached the two hyenas. Janja and his clan still made her a bit nervous,  but she had seen Jasiri around the Pridelands recently, although they had never interacted.

“So you are the hyena who has been assisting the Lion Guard? It would seem we all owe you a great deal.”

The hyena’s a little too focused on chewing on the bone he has, ears flicking away flies, happily content, not bothering anyone. But others might not be so happy to see him there.

They have a lot in common tbh. But probably the biggest similarity is their tendency to see the good in everyone (except hyenas in Mufasa’s case, oops -- but if he’d lived to meet Jasiri I’m sure she would have changed that).
