Getting a scholarship into Clarin’s Dance Academy had been Bridgette’s dream. Losing it three years later due to an injury had absolutely wrecked her. The best part about the whole situation was that she got to go to school with Marinette. She was excited to see her sister so much more. While she recovered she wouldn’t be able to dance. While she mostly recovered over the summer, by the time school started her leg wasn’t at it’s best yet. School had started off well enough. Bridgette had fallen head-over-heels for Felix Agreste, and hung around with Marinette and her friends. Somehow, she’d caught the interest of Chloe.
The girl had a mean side, but the more she was around her, the more she realized there was a lot more to Chloe than what Marinette had said. Bridgette found herself becoming good friends with Chloe and Sabrina. She knew how Marinette felt about Chloe, but she figured her sister would come around. After all, Bridgette had to leave Claude and Alexandra back at her old school.
Boy was she wrong.
Chloe, like the good friend she was, informed Bridgette as soon as she heard the news. Which, being Chloe, meant that Bridgette was informed of it nearly as soon as it happened.
‘It’ being her sister asking her long-time crush out.
And that crush saying yes.
Bridgette had been at physical therapy when Chloe called, and when she got home, she was enraged. She walking upstairs, ignoring the pain in her ankle. Bridgette rarely got mad, but the few times she did, it was always an explosion. She took a deep breath before going into their room. She tossed her bag onto the bed and turned to Marinette, who was sewing at the table.
“Marinette.”
When she didn’t look up, Bridgette tried again. God, she felt like slapping her sister.
“Marinette.” Her voice was ice cold and filled with an underlying fury.
