My Grandfather, along with other local officials in the Village of Kanokupolu built this church in 1885. After the Cyclone Gita hit this Past Sunday, the Church did not survive.
I was glad to have made a trip this past Holiday Season and got to stand within the same place my Grandfather Maumau went to church, baptized my Father and his nine siblings in.
