did anyone besides aimie have their hair down for howard like ever?
Exactly siiiiix, ironically.
Pictured: Aimie Atkinson (initial Arts Theatre run, 1st UKT, and West End but not Hampton Court/proshot) Vicki Manser (as West End alt only) Courtney Stapleton Samantha Pauly (Chicago/pre-Broadway tour only) Courtney Mack (Chicago/pre-Broadway tour only) Mallory Maedke (Chicago/pre-Broadway tour only)
the streets (instagram) are saying kelly denice taylor is playing cleves in chicago tonight but i can’t find out if it’s true or not? does anyone know?
i think there used to be a precedence for dance captains to have the black alt costume, would that have also influenced mal getting the black?
I think at the very start they favored giving the queens the alt color that suited them the best and then moved slightly to black being Aragon alt.
For chicago it was only the second production and the costume team would have been figuring out how the alt costume system would work. For WE opening black had been redesigned as S/H and teal was designed as B/C. Nicole was alt Cleves and that was the one alt variation that existed already. The color suits her and teal is already close to Parr so pants would be an easy second variation. S/H matched Mallory's covers and black suits her really well plus the chicago costumes were made in Chicago with the costume team all in the UK so them not signing off very complicated alt variations seems likely. Mallory's Boleyn skirt was solid black with a row of trim on each panel, as simple as you can get.
Basically I don't think Mallory got black because she was dance captain I think she got black because Nicole was Cleves and black worked really well for her anyway.
Queendom, what are our thoughts?

Perfect timing is:
Six on Broadway opening on October 3rd, then Six Chicago 2.0 having their first preview on October 5th.
🚨 NEW SIX PRODUCTION 🚨
the second north american tour of six will begin march 2022! it will begin at CIBC Theatre in chicago from march-july. there is no information of where it will be traveling but it is confirmed to be a national tour!!
there was originally supposed to be a limited chicago production at the broadway playhouse in summer 2020 which got postponed to october 2021. that production is now cancelled and is being “replaced” by the tour. since it’s a new theatre, they are refunding tickets however people who purchased tickets for the chicago production will get a special presale. kinda sucks that chicago fans have to buy all over again but after all it is six.
this is such a big deal because this means six will be traveling to more places in the us! majority of the continent lucked out as they only performed in the northeast/midwest so hopefully southern/west coast/ fans get a chance! so excited aaaaa
