Is it just me or have the pink alternate boots and extras (like chokers) been more light purple recently?
Yes, good eye!! The crystal color that's been used has changed!
For a long time the crystals had been Swarovski, but Swarovski actually really limited their output to only a handful of buyers/sellers during early covid. Since then a lot of people have been switching over to Preciosa and I know Crystalled by Jane is doing a mix of both now. That color switch may have been just wanting a different color/design (like with orange alt) or it may have been due to changing over to Preciosa crystals for pink alt for any number of logistical reasons.
Usually I can recognize Swarovski purples because I’ve worked with them quite a bit, but I don’t recognize that one which makes me think it might be Preciosa. I’m going to use Preciosa for my alt boots so I’ll hopefully get a sample card with which I can hopefully identify them if they are. However, filters or editing software can really affect crystal identification and we have minimal photos of the new crystals being used bc new pink alt is rarely worn so I can’t super easily compare different photos to figure out what’s most accurate. Basically....I think they’re Preciosa, but I’ll have to wait on getting a sample card and better photos in different lighting to confirm that.
