I'm sorry I'm just rediscovering Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes, and I just watched Wisteria Lodge, and I don't know what this ask is for but I was extremely offended by use of negro/mulatto to describe the man in the window and I wonder are they just want to be authentic or they just don't care/supremacists? they were using the exact wording from the books, and the books contain lots of racist Victorian terminology so :/

im guessing this is about my point on the harry potter post re: dumbledore being celibate. and if you think that’s not a problem 1) you’re ignoring the fact that the reason dumbeldore is celibate is because his one gay experience was so awful, 2) that in the media gay ppl usually either get to be a) hyper-sexual subhuman sex-machines or b) de-sexualized saints to comfort straight sensibility, 3) the fact it made it easy to hide dumbledore’s sexuality in the text

Ahh, thank you for answering. ^^ Yeah, from what I've read Arang is a female ghost who was a magistrate's daughter brutally murdered. So no braids and stuff mean nothing? I read from most sites that hairstyles are often important in knowing someone's civil/social status. As for being ghostly, does it mean that the hairstyle was used for female corpses for burials or something? 0.0 Also, is it some sort of punishment if you cut your hair during those times?
