Court ends up working with the petrova task force as a high clearance security officer. He ends up getting to know Grace pretty well in that time, watching him when Carl isn't or is out with Grace and Carl in public.

Then he's given his final task.

The syringe is heavy in his hands as he walks up to the door. He can hear crying inside, a frantic pleading, and he clutches it tighter.

When he opened the door his hand is behind his back, out of sight.

"Court!" Grace yells through sobs. Someone tries to pull him back but he slips through, running to the man. Grace's arms wrap around Court tightly, he's shaking and sobbing harder now that he has someone on his side. "Please! Tell them. I can't go, im not an astronaut- I can't.. I can't do this I won't."

Court looks down at the man's red eyes, glasses pushed out of place. He brings a hand to gentle cradle Grace closer, like they've done before when nobody is watching.

"tell them I'm not alone-"

Grace's words slip out of his mouth, his tongue going heavy. There's a prick at the back of his neck and Court is squeezing him tighter, holding him in place.

Court can see the medical officers closing in and he cringes. He pulls out the empty needle and tossed it to the ground. His hands hold up Grace's body as the man slips into unconsciousness, only giving out a soft whimper.

"I'm sorry, Ryland." Court murmurs, pushing his lips to Grace's. It's not something they've done before, a near thing that had been interrupted time and time again, but after this point he will no longer have that chance.

So, he has to take it.

Okay but Ive been on my Sixgrace bullshit recently so

What about Grace actually does get out of Baikonur when he runs, and then he's just out there, no plan and no where to go, definitely going to be found and probably killed within the next day, probably sooner.

Except for the fact that Six is skulking around out there somewhere, probably doing recon for a hit on Stratt or one of the Government high ups there for the launch.

And either Six hears the commotion Grace makes, or overhears one of the soliders sent out to look for Grace, or maybe they just stumble into each other.

At first Six would want to stay the hell away from the guy, because he doesnt need to be pissing off every country in the world all at once, no thank you, but then he'd take another look at pathetic wet cat Grace who's panicking and scared out of his mind because the most powerful woman on earth right now wants to send him to die in space, and Six would just be like "God fucking dammit" and be ready to die for the guy.
