So when she finally found one that did have a person, she didn’t hesitate, mechanical arms wrapping around the figure and bringing him through to her side.

He was young-looking, and seemed highly disoriented, though that was typical of all her test subjects. “You’ll want to put this on,” Olivia stated, pressing a wrist-mounted stabilizer into his hands. With a flick of one tentacle, the portal closed behind him, leaving him now properly in her laboratory.

“Welcome. Feel free to get comfortable. Why don’t you tell me about yourself?”
