Manon Blackbeak and the Thirteen RANT

Out of all the books I’ve read and all the character stories I’ve witnessed, Manon’s ending has to be the most painful. Everyone else in KoA got a—relatively—happy ending, but to me she never seemed to get closure. And part of me doesn’t think she ever will

I mean, imagine losing not only your best friend but your entire family that has fought by your side for so many years and they sacrificed themselves for a cause that they didn’t necessarily have to care about but they did anyway because they were just that loyal and true.

Everyone was worried about major characters dying, so I feel like part of what made the Thirteen’s sacrifice so devastating was that it was is unexpected. I can’t handle it. I don’t know how other people feel about this but I cry like a baby every time I think about it. If anyone has any Thirteen appreciation posts/fanart please send them to me I need healing
