SK8STAR DROPS NEW VIDEO SINGLE "QUAGOO"
Fresh off a sold-out headlining show at Avondale Music Hall in Chicago, new-gen Atlanta rapper Sk8star has just shared his highly anticipated new single, "Quagoo" –– out now, alongside an accompanying music video. First previewed on PlaqueBoyMax's Song Wars stream and receiving a 10/10 rating from heavyweight producer Southside, "Quagoo" is an extension of the punk-rap sound established on Sk8star's breakthrough February mixtape Designer Junkie (7.2 from Pitchfork).
The accompanying video, directed by Darko, is a dark, tasteful visual that accompanies his distinct sound. Executive produced by legendary ATL hitmaker Richie Souf (Playboi Carti's "JumpOutTheHouse", Gunna's "Top Off"), the release of Designer Junkie quickly pushed Sk8star past 2 million weekly streams, while also fuelling sold-out release shows in both New York and Atlanta.
Designer Junkie captured Sk8star's signature ethos of chaotic elegance by drawing influence from Punk-Rock legends like The Sex Pistols and Vivienne Westwood as much as soul-bearing Southern rappers like Future and Young Thug –– the latter of whom Sk8star now counts as a co-sign and supporter. After a breakout year in 2025 with the release of notable singles and collaborations like "ShawtyRokk" (feat. LilGotit), "2 Sexy" (which received praise from The FADER for its "falsetto flows" and "melodic instincts") as well as his fifth project, PALE FEVER, the new release of Designer Junkie puts an exclamation mark on Sk8star's climb up the modern rap landscape.
The 23-year-old Macon, Georgia native has grown into one of rap's most exciting prospects, earning the co-signs of fellow notable peers such as Young Thug, PlaqueBoyMax, and Lil Gotit. His impressive outputs began dropping at the start of the decade in 2020, with the inevitable elevation steadily following ever since.
2023's Whole New Meaning EP saw Sk8star's initial recognition flourish, followed by the consistent growth that came alongside his next 3 projects, Rebel in the Room, REBELUTION, and most recently, PALE FEVER. Atlanta's prominent new age star continues to rise amongst his peers, looking to continue his expansion outside of the underground and into the national spotlight.

Sk8star Drops 'Designer Junkie' Mixtape
Designer Junkie, the highly-anticipated new album from buzzing Atlanta rapper Sk8star, announces a powerful new talent in the American underground, one who grew up inspired by Playboi Carti and Young Thug (and now counts the latter among his many co-signs.) Rooted in local tradition but facing boldly towards the future, Designer Junkie is the album Sk8star has been working towards since discovering his flow at age nine. Executive-produced by legendary beatmaker and personal mentor Richie Souf, it embodies Sk8star’s ethos of “chaotic elegance”, equally influenced by punk-rock legends like The Sex Pistols and Vivienne Westwood as soul-bearing Southern rappers like Future.
From towering rage anthems like “BrazyBrazyHo” and “No Compadre” to raw, heartfelt odes like “Muse” and the hometown-indebted “Macon”, the record traverses a vast range of emotion without losing momentum. All the internal turmoil, all the growing pains of bossing up and becoming a man, combust on Designer Junkie in a blitz of bass, bars and bravado. But Sk8star wouldn’t have his moment of ascension any other way.
Following his first offering of the year with "ForMyFolks", rising Atlanta artist Sk8star has officially released his highly-anticipated mixtape, Designer Junkie –– out now, alongside a new video for "No Compadre". Executive produced by legendary ATL hitmaker Richie Souf (Playboi Carti's "JumpOutTheHouse", Gunna's "Top Off"), Designer Junkie captures Sk8star's signature ethos of chaotic elegance by drawing influence from Punk-Rock legends like The Sex Pistols and Vivienne Westwood as much as soul-bearing Southern rappers like Future and Young Thug –– the latter of whom Sk8star now counts as a co-sign and supporter. Alongside the release of Designer Junkie, Sk8star has also shared a new music video for "No Compadre". Standout tracks such as "BleedLikeMe" find Sk8star sliding across colorful piano keys and synth strokes, whilst other outings like "RIPSCOOTER" find him paying homage to fellow Atlanta legends like Young Scooter. Though joined by familiar collaborators like fellow ØWay collective members Tezzus and diamond*, the majority of Designer Junkie finds Sk8star embarking on the journey solo. Best defined by the captivating, bouncy production that surrounds his infectious lyrical performances displayed across the project, Designer Junkie is out now.

Sk8star Drops "ForMyFolks" Video Single
A 23 year old rising artist from Macon, Georgia, Sk8star has developed into one of the most anticipated artists to rise out of the Atlanta underground since he started releasing music in 2020. Associated with the ØWay collective (Pz’, Tezzus, etc.), Sk8star first gained recognition for his 2023 EP Whole New Meaning, and has since released three additional EPs, Rebel in the Room, REBELUTION, and most recently, PALE FEVER.
Drawing his artistic inspiration from artists such as Lil Wayne as well as Atlanta heavyweights Young Thug, and Future, Sk8star stands out among his peers in the underground community by aiming to blur the lines between trap and electronic fusion, while having already worked with notable producers such as Pi’erre Bourne and Richie Souf to help build out his sound.
On the heels of his December single "2 Sexy", buzzing Atlanta trendsetter Sk8star has just released his newest track "ForMyFolks" – out now, alongside an accompanying music video. Serving as his first single of the new year, "ForMyFolks" doubles down on the high-production Neo-Trap sound that has led Sk8star to the forefront of the new Atlanta scene.
The accompanying video, directed by moses.xa finds Sk8star turning up alongside his close collaborators like Tezzus and diamond* as he emphasizes his commitment to his crew: "I do this for my folks!" After a breakout 2025 that found him release his fifth project PALE FEVER (with a feature from 1300SAINT), his EP REBELUTION with Diorvsyou, singles like "ShawtyRokk" (feat. Lil Gotit) and the aforementioned "2 Sexy" (which was praised by The FADER for his "falsetto flows" and "melodic instincts"), Sk8star has emerged as a clear-cut leader in the new generation of ATL SoundCloud upstarts. With co-signs from Young Thug, Lil Gotit and PlaqueBoyMax, Sk8star is using the new release of "ForMyFolks" to continue paving the way for his forthcoming, highly-anticipated mixtape Designer Junkie.
