WARD: Titan Skaldi Formerly the superhero known as Axehead, Titan Skaldi is a monstrous Kaiju who can automatically teleport to the location of the greatest threat to her person.

My friend’s half-elf battle-bard, Skaldi. His sister is Lanoriel. He’s in the same Looming Shadow campaign with Zarvis and Zioris.

I kit-bashed from 8 different outfits for this, with an abundant use of shaders and overlays, and that’s not including the lute or dagger. The player wanted me to use Iorveth’s outfit as a guideline. I still need to find a compatible sash to go with it.

(While I was looking through some old WS stuff, I found a doc file full of prompts and responses that were written for an ask meme, and I only ever posted about half of these?! They were nostalgic and kinda funny to me looking back, so even though they refer to RPs of the long past and some of the stuff is probably outdated, I just decided to publish them as they were originally written. I even found the almost finished comic page that I had originally drawn to illustrate it, and colored it in now.

Idk anymore who asked what but I do remember that the prompts were originally about: “who is better at X, Zurije or Milos?”)

↱ Navigating roads : Milos

There has been at least one canonical occurrence of Zuri

a) getting lost in one of the biodomes of Farside and captured by the local Skeech tribe, then consequently had to be saved by her friends at Heroes for Hire;

b) trying to rescue the lost Amul from a pitch black cave in Wilderrun and getting lost herself after finding her so that Milos had to get them both out

but to be fair on Zurije, neither of these were navigation on an actual road paved by others. Nevertheless, Milos would probably win this round either way on the grounds of travelling around more on his own than Zuri.

Though I must also point out that if placed in the same vehicle, they exponentially reduce each other's navigational skills respectively.

❣ Styling hair : Milos

I have no idea where he picked up this skill. Maybe that granok girlfriend that cut his hair into a mohawk for the first time taught him some tricks. Maybe it has something to do with the many aurin in his life who needed help untangling their luscious manes. Maybe he was just naturally good at it all along.

≡  Ice skating : Zurije

As she comes from a rural, mountainous and cold area of Grismara, Zuri has every children's winter sport in her genes and it's also about the extent of what she misses about the weather in the "pocketful of frozen hell in a dainty snowglobe" that was her homeland.  

Milos has never ice skated. I can't wait for Zuri to find that out.

Skaldi was the Wildstar character I made as my free lvl 50 option and she has already appeared in a few drawings since but her backstory and personality are not that fully fledged yet. I don’t know a lot about her at this point except that she’s insanely tall and likes to make people think she is tough and intimidating but in reality she’s just a big, soft grill dad mom with grill dad jokes.

She has some musical aspirations too and since in her current job she doesn’t have to swing her sword about constantly, she also pursues a slam poet/underground punk and hip hop artist “carreer” in her free time (you know. like. a skald. see what i did there)

A fun fact about her is that by the time the free 50s characters were available, I had already premeditated to create a Granok who looked slightly different and was supposed be called Ydun. I changed some of her features and her name literally in the last moment, but eventually made the decision that Ydun also exists as Skaldi’s twin sister who stayed on the Granok home planet. They have not seen each other for a hundred years and then some but they might meet again... especially on the rare event that granok espers become available in the game.

I was in the process of creating a new sideblog for my skyrim oc, and as a consequence I rediscovered a lot of my old art when I used to color my sketches in, and lovingly layer shading upon shading with 10% opacity or less. I was curious to attempt something similar once more and idk wtf is a lighting source anymore but I did manage to unlock an animu coloring style in the process by accident... so 👌

✏ Remembering important dates or numbers : Milos

Milos is good withnumbers, and those things that he pays attention to, he will not easily forget.Zurije is extremely disorganized and I wouldn’t be surprised if actually Miloswould have to remind her of some of her deadlines and meetings that sheoffhandedly mentioned and then promptly forgot.

✯ Saving money : Milos

He has lived throughsome periods of poverty, so he’s learned how to have a tight grip on hisfinances, regardless of how much money he has - which tends to fluctuate a lot.

Contrary to what mightseem from her lavish expenses, Zurije is not particularly awful at saving moneyif she must, she just swears by enjoying whatever one has while onestill has it… so she ends up being extremely generous both with herself and those people she likes.

₪ Charming others : Zurije… probably?

Whether you’d findZurije or Milos more charming is up to taste, I think, but Milos is more of apeople pleaser in his deeds than his words or personality, whereas Zurije isthe most likely to put her Charisma skill to the test in attempts of gettingher way around people and/or getting people to like her. However, I believe that the others could rival her Speechcraftchecks if they really needed to and tried hard enough.

Milos was training to besomething like an inbetween of an anthropologist and a diplomat for a briefamount of time when he arrived at Nexus; Aleksey is the frontman and publicspokesperson of his research team; and Velumi is a part-time burlesque dancer -so probably they all possess their own unique skills of charming other people.The only way Skaldi would want to be described as “charming” is if bythat you mean “frightening”, but she’s not as tough as she’s tryingto sell herself - an intimidating presence is merely a part of her job.

While Zuri is generallymore talented as a chef of any sort, Milos’ artistic skills and affinity forprecision would make him an excellent baker and/or cake decorator.

(Okay, I’m cheating withthis one a liiiiiitttttle bit right off the bat, cause as of right now, no one is aware of this,not even himself - but I do have a desire/plan for a plotline and/or AU wherethis hidden talent comes to light… maybe some kind of ludicrous and misadventurousbakery AU. Just like a coffeeshop AU, except with 50% less lovey-dovey, 50%more retail hell weirdness and 2000% more noir pulp fiction crime plots. I’ve wanted to try my hand at this style for such a long time, but it took me a while to persuade myself to draw something entirely on the computer from scratch because I didn’t really believe I would be able to make it look good. I’m really proud of this though? it’s got just that right balance of atmosphere and simplicity that I wanted.
