i love your blog!! do you have any stamps of extinct species?
hi! i do! you can find ones that have been extinct for a pretty long like prehistoric animals or like probably thylacines i imagine, but sometimes you'll find older stamps and the animal depicted has sadly gone extinct since the stamp was made, they're very bittersweet. there's a um i think it's a Chinese one i've posted of a freshwater dolphin, lemme go dig it up!
yep, it was a series stamps on Yangtze river dolphins from 1980. according to wikipedia, the species has not yet officially been labelled as extinct but none have been seen in over 40 years and many speculate this is the first species of dolphins to go extinct from human impact.
