Proud papa with my first DIY screen-printed deck, red eyes and everything. I'm going to grip-tape this and skate it later this afternoon. // I've been wanting to design decks since 1984. Been skating poorly the whole time while not going after it because of fear. Fear that I'm wasting my time because there are so many artists out there better than me with connections. Fear that people will think my dreams are stupid. Fear of failure. Fear of people thinking I'm a poser because I'm 47 years old, can't ollie for shit and the coping still throws me off balance. Well, there they are. I'm not even going to bother with the red eyes. I need a larger screen and I need to figure out a way to consistently register the graphic in the center of the deck.
