Skeel & Switch - World Vision Campaign Ambassadors

Notable Non-Governmental Organization - World Vision, has recently launched a campaign in the Kingdom of Swaziland against sexual violence against children. World Vision is an international organisation involved in issues of Disaster Management and Community Development with an established presence in the Kingdom of Swaziland. As stated on their website: “In 1996 the focus shifted from relief to disaster mitigation, rehabilitation, and transformational development” in the borders of the Kingdom of Swaziland.

This month they launched campaign addressing issues of Sexual Violence against children coined:  “It takes Swaziland to end sexual violence against children”. The launch was attended by notable personalities, members of Parliament and distinguished leaders. These included:  Her Excellency Lisa Peterson, Chief Mawandla Gamedze, Managing Editor Mbongeni Mbingo, Judge Maxine Langwenya and the country’s   Acting Deputy Prime Minister Phiwayinkhosi Mabuza.  Some of the Acting Deputy Prime Minister’s sentiments were that; “the exercise of violence in the sharing of resources and power is undesirable as it breeds ruthlessness. The brutal murder of our innocent children, albinos, cannot give you power or blessings so is the neglecting and dumping of children. This should never be an option." Of note to Thesselo411 was the selection of Christian Rap Artists; Switch & Skeel to be Ambassadors of this campaign.
